Rated 1 out of 5 by from P. LL Polo I have been buying these shirts for over 10 years! I love how they come out of the dryer and need no ironing! Since my husband retired this is his everyday shirt! We ordered XL the first time and they fit very well and he is still wearing those. 3 years ago I ordered him some new ones: the XL swam on him so I ordered him the L. Those fit him very well. This year I ordered him 3 new ones in a L. They fit him very well until they were washed! Now the sleeves are too short!!!!!!! They aren't suppose to shrink and these did!!!!!! I am so disappointed!!!!!! Will be returning these!!!!!!!!!!!! Please make them like before!!!!!!!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Size Variations We ordered one of these shirts and liked it so much that we ordered two more. The first one (size Medium) fit perfectly. The second two were ordered to the same size (Medium) but were too small. We noted that the first shirt was made in Thailand and the second pair were made in a different country (I forgot which one). When you laid the two different shirts one over the other you could see that the second pair were smaller even though they were marked Medium. We sent the second pair of shirts back and are keeping shirt number 1. We are currently waiting for a shipment of two more of these shirts in size Large. Hope they fit.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Comfy casual shirt This polo shirt is cut from a heavier-weight cloth that feels both soft and durable, and it's probably better suited to cooler temperatures. With regard to fit, I am a "big medium" / "small large", because I have a 41 inch chest and average build, so right in between most manufacturer's M and L sizes - and this shirt in M has a comfortable relaxed fit on me, whereas an L would be comically large. The color choices are also nice, although I sort of wish this shirt existed in a wider range of neutral colors, like beige/oatmeal, light gray, or mid-brown. It's a good shirt - recommended.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from fantastic shirt This was just what I was looking for, and it's so hard to find anywhere else. A simple, cotton pullover shirt with nice colors and no logo. When I tried it on before washing it, it fit perfectly, with a little extra room for shrinkage. However, because it is 100% cotton, it shrunk more than I was used to, because most of the clothes that can be found in stores these days are not 100% cotton. So, after washing (in cold water), it had shrunk to be a little too small, especially the arm length. So, when I order again, I will order TALL instead, to compensate. It is a bit disappointing that TALL sizes are $5 extra! Really?

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Buyer Beware Double L polos have been my go to sport shirts for more than 20 years. Sadly, this is no longer true. The quality and fit of the shirts I just received, labeled traditional fit, have greatly decreased compared to the shirts I ordered 18 months ago. The material is thinner, the sleeves are much too narrow, and the body is smaller too. Production has moved from Thailand to a new vendor in Vietnam, and the sizing and material apparently changed with the move. LL Bean, please bring back the former sizing and quality.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from FITS JUST RIGHT I order large from LL Bean on some products because I like a little more freedom in the shoulders and waist. This is the first long sleeve polo I ordered and was guided by other reviewers that had similar dimensions as myself. True to fit, just right, doesn't look too big when I have it on and there is room for me to move, bend, swing etc. without it binding. I take a 40 short in a suit jacket if that helps someone looking for the fit. I have washed it twice already, virtually no shrinkage and color loss. Fabric is very comfortable and soft. Another quality LL Bean product.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Something has changed I had gotten so used to buying these year after year with them always fitting and looking exactly the same (i.e. perfect) I didn't have a second thought ordering 3 of them (and 3 of the SS version) just before a 2 week trip to Asia. I was so confident from years of experience I packed them upon arrival and flew out. Imagine my surprise when the 'same' shirts I'd purchased multiples of each Fall (and SS version in Spring) were too small with no stretch. In fact, they wore like ones that I had already worn for 2 seasons and was about to pass on to the SA. After looking them over and comparing to last year's I see they have moved production from Thailand to Vietnam so I can only assume this is the difference. LL Bean...please bring back the quality Polos (long and short sleeve versions) from years' past.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Medium tall I own several LL Bean long sleeve shirts that fit very well. I always buy medium tall so the sleeves are long enough. Apparently LL Bean recently lengthened the pattern for the body of the shirt so now the shirt body is too long. If I buy a medium-regular the sleeves are too short; if I buy medium-tall the body is way too long. I love the style, material, and colors, but I am disappointed with the length of the shirt body. Fortunately, my wife can sew and she shortened the body so it fits well like my past LL Bean shirts always have. If the pattern had not changed, I would have rated this shirt 5 stars.
