Women's Double L® Mixed-Cable Sweater, Crewneck is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 484.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from I’m ordering two more! Had this shipped to my vacation rental because I wanted it for breezy Maine nights. It arrived yesterday and it is the best $40 dollars I’ve ever spent. I love this sweater so much that I’m ordering two more. It’s cozy and cushy but not heavy or hot (and I get overheated easily). I can sometimes wear an XL in Bean cardigans but generally am a 1X. However, I wanted to be able to comfortably wear this over a t shirt so I ordered a 2X and it’s perfect. A little oversized because it’s technically too big but just right for throwing it on to take off the chill. One of my favorite LL Bean purchases ever. Plus the marled dusty aqua color is beautiful.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from lovely weight; size up for layering I have been looking for a nice black cotton sweater in the past few years (everything has been navy lately). This is a nice weight and the cables are attractive. I ordered the Petite Med (39-inch chest, 23-inch length) but found it a little snug overall but especially in the arms, so I ordered the Petite L (43-inch chest, 24-inch length) which is much roomier, perhaps a little slouchy. I hate to order a larger size but I hate tight clothes! I'll see if it shrinks a bit with washing, though I do not dry most clothing. It will be my big sweater that will fit over all turtlenecks and long-sleeve shirts for the winter.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Different Colors Fit Differently This is a beautiful sweater, and it is versatile in that you can wear it with so many things (jeans, shorts, slacks, skirts, etc). I ordered it first in white and loved it so much that I also ordered the beautiful blue color a few months later. They both fit fine and are very comfortable, but the two sweaters, even though they are both mediums, fit differently from each other and actually feel like they are made from different material. The white is a stiffer material whereas the blue is much softer. The white sweater is more snug whereas the blue is a little bit bigger overall. They are both lovely, but it's like they are different styles of sweaters, not just different colors.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from blue cable knit i have bought this sweater in both blue and light grey, the colors are beautiful, the knit pattern is beautiful, the fit is good except for the neck, it's a bit too tight, had to remove the band at the back of the neck to allow it to stretch more. They both washed well (I didn't put them in the dryer). My problem with the product is the lack of softness, it is not as advertised. It looked that way on the picture which was the reason I purchased it, but to my disappointment it wasn't. I wanted the soft and smooth feeling on my skin which makes you feel warmer, it ended up being rather stiff and coarse but if you don't mind that then it's great.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Love the sweater but the shoulder is coming apart I absolutely love the color, fit, and softness of this sweater. However, the first time I wore it, and only the second time it was washed, it came out of the washing machine with holes in the shoulder. The shoulder was practically coming apart. Fortunately a few years ago, I had bought a different sweater (from a different company) in a very similar color, and that other sweater came with some extra thread. I was able to use that thread to mend this sweater. Hopefully it will hold together a while longer, because I would be very upset to lose an expensive sweater after just one wearing.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Quality not good I bought this sweater a couple weeks ago and wore it twice since then...I loved the fit at first (before washing it) but for some reason the sweater shrunk like crazy in the 2 times I washed it. I washed it on cold/delicate and hung it to dry. I own the Cotton Ragg sweater and it does not shrink like this one does (which is weird because they're both cotton). I was really sad about about it because LL Bean claims the tighter knit helps them keep their shape...definitely don't recommend this sweater if you're looking for a quality one.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful cotton sweater I purchased the royal plum color and it's beautiful! It's the perfect shade of purple, not too cranberry and not to grape color. My friend said it was the same color as my glass of merlot wine and she was right! I am 5'4 and 117 and purchased the small size. Fit is how I like it, (slim fit, but still can layer) not oversized or too roomy. If you want a little larger fit (boyfriend sweater) go with the medium. This is my third Double L Mixed-Cable Sweater Crewneck and I really like LL Bean's new style pattern this year. It's updated and fresh, very pretty. This cotton is warm, thick, and always my comfy go-to sweater!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Practical and Attractive Sweater I love this sweater; it's the perfect thickness for fall and winter in the midwest. It's not so heavy that you're sweating uncomfortably but it's not paper thin either. I appreciate that there are many attractive colors to choose from - I ordered the basil heather and love the natural tone. I most love the style - it's not super fitted or too bulky, it's just right. A lot of sweaters are so short that my stomach shows if I lift my arms or the polar opposite/tunic. But this sweater is the perfect length.
