Sturdy and warm
I bought these 8 years ago and have worn them walking dogs in deep snow, slush, and ice ever since. Great boots! Extremely warm and sturdy. Lots of life left. Highly recommend

Warm, well-made, comfortable, good-looking
The liner, too, is well-constructed. No need to wear heavy socks, though they will fit. Roomy toebox.

Warm winter boots.

Excellent, but could be improved.
I bought these boots for my wife, who is very picky when it comes to her shoes. When putting these on, she first complained that they were tight (in width). I told her that all that insulation would mold around her feet over time, it just takes time.
Within a week, we received an unusual amount of snow (for around here), and I felt like I hit the jackpot. The temp dipped to -2 and we pulled out all of our warmest shoes/clothes. She wore her new shoes and stated that her feet were warm and dry. I was happy. We both were happy.
She decided to take a walk around our block, but some of the snow had melted and then re-froze, leaving a very slippery hill to descend on the way around the block. Down she went, and her happiness level went with it. She is not a fan of the traction these boot give on ice. Her non-insulated Vibram-soled boots did just fine on the same hill and same ice.
With some arm-twisting and sweet-talking, she has decided to keep the boots because they are definitely high quality, but if anything could be done to improve traction when on ice, she would probably consider this brand for future purchases.

Built well
Glad I ordered the recommended size in the catalog; the fit was just right with heavier socks. With the warmer weather in Michigan I've only had the chance to wear them once since I received them.

Size Down!
Just got them so can't speak on durability. I like how they look and feel but the stitching and leather edging is sloppy. I'm glad I got them on sale or I'd probably be annoyed enough at that to return them. Just wanted to leave a review letting you know to size down. I'm a 7.5 in not all but most shoes and these in a 7 are fairly roomy.
