Women's Vista Trekking Pants, Lined is rated 4.3 out of 5 by 78.
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Some Drawbacks These pants are a nice concept and what I was looking for to walk my dog on windy winter days. However, the fabric started to form pills (little lint balls) on the surface even before I washed them. I think the fabric is too delicate to provide good service for everyday use. The nylon outer shell is thin, almost like a crepe, so that is the drawback. The pants were comfortable and warm. Love the pockets. Upon reflection, I think I would design these with elastic waist for better comfort during active days and better fit for a range of sizes and shapes. I am returning these to LLBean and will look for something similar with an elastic waist and sturdier fabric.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from length too long, ankle drawcord annoying Really liked the idea of lined nylon pants for walks and other outdoor activities. Pants were comfortable and a good fit except they were way too long (I'm 5ft 4) and do not come in petite. A bottom drawcord made them even more droopy on my feet plus drawcords have a way of getting caught on shrubbery when going off trail. I did not keep the pants. What was especially disappointing is these similar pants come in different lengths for men. My husband could get the right length but not me. LL Bean should treat mens and womens clothing the same by offering choice of inseam length for women.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Disappointed I purchased 2 pair of these pants in February 2017. I really found them comfortable and warm. They fit like sweat pants but looked much nicer. However, they pilled up very quickly and look really bad. I didn't expect that of LL Bean stuff. When you pay the price you expect the pants to last but these didn't. I returned one pair today that I never wore because of how quickly the first pair pilled. (Yes, I am slow at getting around to returning) The other pair I still have as I did wear them. Now they look so bad they are uncomfortable to wear. I expected better quality for the money on these.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Love these pants, but they do run big.. I love these pants for walking in cold weather! They are so comfortable, the lining is super soft and they are WARM!! These pants are wind resistant (within reason) and roomy enough to fit a pair of long johns underneath if necessary. I just gave 3 older pairs to my mom, after I lost 30# and could no longer wear a 12. Having worn these pants for the past few years, I should have realized that they do stretch and run a bit big. I purchased an 8 online (my usual pant size) and they really are too big, I need to wear a belt to keep them up. But, this does work for me, as I can wear them over work out pants when on my way to the gym on a cold morning. I will be ordering a 6 however, for every day wear.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Comfy and warm, but short. I work as a flight nurse in the Canadian Arctic and bought a few pairs of these pants for work. So far, they're working great for their purpose! They keep me warm and cozy (they feel like pyjama pants!) during my flights and the cold Arctic days. My criticism, however, is that they are a bit too short. I am 5'7" and they don't quite cut it. If they were an inch or two longer (easy to deal with them being a bit too long, because of the cinch on the bottom), they would be perfect. I second another review in saying maybe think of making a medium/long length. :)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect for colder weather These pants fit perfectly, same fit as my Vista camp shorts that I bought this summer. They are warm in 30's temps here in the upper south, and I can stay outside in them at the dog park. They are similar to wearing microfleece tights under any unlined pants, but fit better as the lining on these trekking pants doesn't pull like a separate layer of tights does under unlined pants. The color goes well with other items in my wardrobe that complement the charcoal gray. I spilled something on them the other day, washed them immediately, and there is no trace of the spill. The pants air-dried overnight, no problem. I love these pants and wish they came in many colors so I could order multiples. The Vista pants and shorts are my new wardrobe staple.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Comfortable and Satisfies Need Recently started birding and wanted hiking pants for early morning winter bird walks. I used hiking pants during the summer and liked the convenience of belt loops and many pockets for storing cell phone, keys etc. I wanted pants that would be warmer for winter bird walks and possibly for visits to the snow. These pants are fine for California winter bird walks but would probably not be warm enough without thermals for visits to the mountains in winter. I'm 5'4" and 127 lbs. Pants are a little long and not stylish (a little baggy but leaves room for thermals), but fits my needs for bird walks. I also purchased lined trail pants which fit a little nicer for daily wear.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Extremely comfortable I was looking for a pair of lined pants and gave these a try despite being worried that they might be too short (I usually order medium talls). I am 5'9", carry most of my weight in my hips and thighs, and these fit wonderfully and are unexpectedly flattering. The fleece lining is a thin microfleece--a nanofleece, really. These aren't particularly warm. I was hoping to wear them at the barn and outside with the dogs, but they're not warm enough for that. They *are* good for a warehouse-like training building, and are non-restrictive enough, and the fleece is sufficiently cuddly that I wear them lounging around my cold, drafty old house. I also like them for long car trips when I don't want the heat blasting the whole way (so dry). Overall these were a pleasant surprise and length was comparable to a medium tall.
