Men's Flannel-Lined Hurricane Shirt is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 673.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Just so so nowadays I think the country of mfg affects shirt quality and fit. This shirt was made in Sri Lanka. Fit is a bit tight in the forearms and sleeves aren't as long as others I own. I have 2 older Hurricane shirts made in Thailand and the material is softer and fit is much better. I can take my hands out of the sleeves without unbuttoning the cuffs. This shirt is stiffer and a bit smaller. The stiffness might be the teflon. I have another shirt purchased last year that was also made in Sri Lanka. That fits better but it is even more stiff. I just wish Bean used the same recipe as with the shirts from several years back that were made in Thailand. Much softer and fit was spot on.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Favorite Clothing Item Item was purchased for 21-year-old, 6-feet tall male, 32-in. waist, long torso, solid and lean. He told me it is his favorite. He wears mostly blacks and greys but moved out of his box on this one and chose green. The color is a nice soft, neutral green. The "shirt" has been worn unbuttoned, as a light jacket over cotton long or short-sleeved tee shirts and it provides the right amount of warmth without being bulky and hot. I wash many of my own clothes on cold cycle and hang to dry because clothes last longer that way so did the same with this shirt and no shrinkage. Material is high quality. Excellent value for the price. We highly recommend it!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Sleeve length short For years I have purchased these shirts in the med. tall size. They are a great, great shirt. I ordered the two new ones, blue and black, as a couple old ones needed retirement. After washing them I put one on and discovered that the sleeves were short. I went to my closet to check against an older med. tall and lo and behold they were 1/2 shorter. Looks like my son-in-law will be getting new shirts for fall hunting. I would recommend anyone to buy one of these shirts, but be sure to try them on for sleeve length. LL Bean needs to maintain their quality control a little better.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Looks great, will have to see I bought this as a replacement for the same shirt I purchased several years ago. That shirt has been one of my favorite go-to when the weather starts to get a little bit more than cool. It was (is) my favorite to wear fly fishing. That shirt got very worn in, and it seemed to get better and better with wear, but I know it can't last forever. So I figured I should hedge my bets and buy a couple of new ones and start breaking them in. The old one was bought so long ago that I cannot remember what it was like when I bought it. But these have a teflon coating on them that makes me wonder if they will get worn in like the others.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Lacking Quality My husband has had an LLBean hurricane shirt for years and it was getting quite worn so I ordered a new one. We were so disappointed with the quality and the sizing is different. He wears a small and this small was snug to the point it would not be comfortable to work in and we knew once it was washed it would no longer fit. Also, these shirts are just untreated twill unlike the one he had before. I don't understand why the prices are skyrocketing while the quality and craftsmanship are dwindling. We ended up returning and purchasing the Katahdin Ironworks canvas shirt with snaps that he loves.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My second one My old flannel-lined Hurricane shirt finally had become frayed in several places and no longer serviceable, after 6 years of wearing as an overshirt, sometimes for weeks at a time between washings. It had been warm comfortable, roomy and tough. This was a LgTall and the sleeves were unusually long so I turned the cuffs back and buttoned them to accommodate. Worked perfectly. I just bought a new one, this time in navy. Same shirt, fortunately, just dark blue. Only regret is having bought the navy. Everything that gets on it will show and stick (particularly the fur from our 2 cats!). Yeah I know…color was poor decision. Other than my own error, I highly recommend this garment.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Not Your Father's Hurricane Shirt I bought 2 of these many years ago for cool weather hunting and fishing; one made in the U.S.A. and one in Portugal. They were virtually identical. I've worn them both to fraying collars and sleeve cuffs. Asked for one for X-mas 2017. It's made in Sri Lanka and has lighter weight outer and inner linings than the "original Hurricane shirts". It isn't as heavy as my old shirts are after years of wear duck and deer hunting. In appearance and feel it is more of an everyday wear shirt and I would recommend it for casual wear during cool weather. For that, it's an excellent garment.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Skimpy I have a number of these shirts that I have purchased over the last 10 years. Some are getting pretty ragged, but they have been my favorite cold weather do everything shirt. I ordered a new one this year, same size Lg Tall, that I have hanging in my closet. This one was returned because it was cut much smaller than the others. I thought it may be a fluke, so I ordered another, only to find the same unsatisfactory fit! Hopefully next season they fix this, a number of my old ones will need to be retired by then.
