Women's Cresta Wool Ultralight Base Layer, Pants is rated 4.4 out of 5 by 29.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poked a hole just pulling them up I was excited to find these lightweight thermal pants to wear under my dress pants to work. They fit great. I put them on today, and as I was pulling them up, my finger poked a hole in them as if they were a pair of pantyhose. I keep my nails short, so they weren't the problem. This is only the 4th time I have worn them. For as expensive as these thermal pants are, I expected much better quality from LL Bean. I am super disappointed. This decline in quality with LL Bean vs price seems to be a trend over the 20 years I have been shopping with LL Bean. I'll be contacting customer service ASAP.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I like the lightweight. It's hard to find lightweight wool long underwear. These are great for wearing around the house under my flannel nightshirt, under pants when running errands, or on chilly, but not super cold days, for hiking. As far as comments about their delicacy, please keep in mind that wool is not synthetic. It must be handed carefully when putting them on. I wear a lot of wool clothing. If you wash them in the machine, put them in lingerie bags, wash them on delicate or soak only, and use a wool wash like Eucalan. I often wash my woolens by hand. Don't wash them frequently. Air drying between wearings is enough. Wool will wear out more easily than synthetic. It's just the nature of wool. I prefer wool over synthetic so I keep a mending kit on hand to darn thin areas before they develop holes.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for Fall & Springtime! Love this Cresta wool lightweight line. The tops & bottoms are so light weight and thin, but yet so amazingly warm, especially for that 40 degree weather. I would recommend going down one size if you like long underwear to have a close fit under jeans. I am a size 10 and went w/small. Perfect! Machine wash(warm) and hang dry. The tops I went w/usual size~ medium.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Like an old pair of panty hose. Not worth the $ I really was excited about these. They feel good. Look good. Fit good. I wore them 4-5 times. After the 3rd use they got a run like the old pair of panty hose. Then when on a canoe trip this weekend they split down the back and now I have a huge hole on my butt. The material is very thin - like panty hose and it last just as long. Not something that you want to spend $50 for just a few uses. Very disappointing. It will be impossible to patch. Just money wasted.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Ultralight base layer pants I just love the ultralight line of wool base layers. These pants are perfect under jeans for cold weather, to sleep in when travelling in an over-refrigerated hotel room, or as a layer in chilly rooms at home. Wool is my preferred fabric for ease of care and comfort, and the LLBean pricing is excellent.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good, lightweight, warm These have been exactly what I was looking for. I've worn them under jeans and leggings, and they're the perfect thing to add a bit of warmth without being bulky, scratchy or restrictive. They don't get saggy after a day's wear and they don't start slipping down like others I've had. There's a tag on the waistline which was a little scratchy, but after I cut it out, there was no problem. I really appreciate that they're wool but so soft!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not worth the price While I took note of the folks who thought they ran large, I figured that I *also* run large, and so I picked large over medium. I do think a medium would have been too small, but the crotch is annoyingly low, and there is a bagginess to the legs that I don't relish having as a bottom layer. All in all, I'm disappointed, as I had been really looking forward to these. However, I'm going to pony of the expense and trouble of UPSing them back, because they are not at something I'd be happy to keep for the price I paid.
