Adults' Stowaway Day Pack is rated 4.7 out of 5 by 585.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Solid Bag I work in the forest industry and needed a collapsible bag to travel with and break out when just needing the essentials. Did some research and most of the other packable backpacks just looked and reviewed as “flimsy”. Got this one as it looked a little tougher and it has been solid. Pack lunch and gear for the day in the main bag and carry fuel and oil bottles in the outer pockets. Been abusing it scrambling through brush and briars and throwing it around while running a chainsaw all day and it hasn’t shown any wear. We’re ordering more for the rest of the crew. Only minor complaint is it’s a tight squeeze to get it back in its storage bag.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from On to Eldorado A LOT of pack, especially for a discounted price; some sections are actually lined inside, a rarity for packable carriers; needs a few slots and pockets/ an organizer panel. I would not have tapered this pack at the bottom (narrow bottom profile), but I would have deepened the exterior mesh water bottle pockets. Still, this pack is overall well-thought-out and feature-packed! Sternum strap meets in the middle with webbing of equal lengths meeting to attach in the center. A little more webbing would have been nice. The almost perfect pack to keep in a vehicle or with a bike, or in a larger pack, for emergency and sudden carrying needs.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great light daypack I bought this for a two-week trip through South America and Mexico. It is just right for day hikes and excursions where you need more than a fanny pack but less than a heavy-duty daypack. It held a towel, change of clothes, raincoat, and lunch bag.It has several zippered pockets and holds two water bottles, which I could take out and replace while wearing the pack (I can't reach the bottles while wearing my heavy duty daypack). It survived being stuffed into its pouch and unstuffed frequently, with no damage. The trick to stuffing it is: turn the pouch inside out (the pouch attached to the inside of the pack).

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Quality Daypack Quality daypack that fits all the essentials. Great for airplane travel as snacks, sweater, travel docs, electronics and more easily sre stored. Just wondering if you noticed that when you click on photos for Stowaway Day Pack, Item PF294234, the seventh photo is supposed to be a video, but there is no image? Perhaps the web design team could upload a video of this daypack which includes a demonstration of how to actually “stow it away”. Also, noted that the price jumped from 39.95 as of March 2018 to 49.95 today. As the price point was probably 39.95 for a few years, and all good things come to an end, this super bag was a super buy at 39.95...but is still worthy at the curent price of 49.95.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My Disney World Bag! I already had 2 of these bags and I had to get another since they come in purple now! (The kids will get the old ones.) I use this bag for visiting amusement parks, zoos, etc with my family. It holds a small first aid pouch, sunscreen, jackets, water bottles, and still enough room to add some souvenirs. I stash 2 or 3 umbrellas in the front pouch with the wrist straps hooked through the strap on the side. I did try to stuff it into the stowaway pouch and it was difficult. I don't really need to do this so it wasn't a problem for me. LL Bean should just rename the bag as something other than stowaway. It is an excellent bag for what I use it for.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from lightweight but formless This back pack is great in terms of pockets, incredibly lightweight, attractive, comfortable fit across the shoulders, etc. I really like the sleeves on the sides for water though to be honest, I keep finding that my water drops out because of the formless nature of the bag. Because the bag is so lightweight and formless, it collapses down and it's actually difficult to find items in the bag ... feels like I'm digging down to China ... frustrating. It feels as though the bag could use some kind of lightweight wiring or something to make it stay somewhat straight up when it is placed down - this way when you open the bag you can actually see the bottom of it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love This Day Pack! I bought this day pack so I could have a smaller backpack for bike riding. Not only are the mesh side pockets great to hold a bottle of water and my cell phone (or whatever!) conveniently, I love that I can securely place my helmet in the front pocket and secure it with the fasteners that are on either side after using it. And there are so many storage options...pockets, zipped pouches, etc. And it's so lightweight! It's also great for my daily subway commutes. One tiny hiccup...I would love to have written instructions on how to fold the daypack, rather than watch the video...though I use it so much, I might not need to fold it up anyway!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice lightweight knapsack I had owned this khapsack previously and this is an improvement over my old purple one, both in terms of the practicality of the black color and the improved shoulder straps. I love the lightness of the pack, the comfort of it, the number of convenient zippered pockets, and the size of it since it holds a good amount but is not overwhelming. Despite what some reviewers said about the large pocket (no zipper) in the front, I find it useful for stuffing a hat and other items I want close at hand. The only warning is that it's not water resistant--when it rains items inside will get wet. So plan accordingly!
