DuraReader Glasses is rated 4.4 out of 5 by 65.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Premium readers I am ordering my second pair of the 1.5 power readers. The frames are very durable yet lightweight. Optics are very high quality and the antiglare coating are why I use these 5-7 hrs per day with my computer viewing each business day. Having never had a prescription for glasses in my 53 years of life, I took these glasses with me to my ophthalmologist appointment for my eye exam. Tried to fit me with mono contact but didn't work for me. Dr looked at these glasses and complemented them on the coating, quality and was very impressed. Said that they would inform their patients of these.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Lenses pop out Bought these based on description and LL Bean reputation. Bought 2 pairs. First lasted a month before lens popped out. Was able to get it back in but sometime next day it came out again somewhere unknown and got lost. That was 30 dollars down the drain. Don't trust other pair will last either based on that experience. Time to find something more durable.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I have to write about these! I have never done a review of any LLBean product up to this point. And I just have to say..these glasses are beyond excellent. Over the years I have never held back on spending big bucks on the best readers I could find, in places like LA, Portland and San Francisco. None come close to these. Not sure why they are so good. The optics are as good as one would get from an Optometrist. The fit is somehow flawless. I've even been told they look good on me . Just an outstanding product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Readers Ever! I've tried many types of reading glasses but none of them are as comfortable as these. These readers are ultralight weight and you hardly know you have them on. I usually keep mine in my shirt pocket and have broken a lot of temple pieces as a result. These temples are flexible and have held up very well so far. I like the larger size of the lenses and the clarity is great. So far these are the best reading glasses I've ever had. I've only had them for a little over a week, so the true test of durability is yet to be seen. So far I'm very pleased with these and would recommend them to anyone looking for great reading glasses.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not durable These are great glasses, and I love LL Bean products, but I have broken two pair (samples) with minimum force. Both were sitting under the edge of a magazine and I just pulled the temple and the eye wire broke. They are cheaply made - just like their bifocal readers. I know - I used to work for their supplier. You are MUCH better off buying cheap readers will last just as long- you will save a LOT of money.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice...but.... I really like these DuraReader Glasses, but I've had multiple frames fall apart with absolutely no harsh treatment or abuse. One of the frames has been fine for many months, and some have broken within days. I keep sending them back for replacements, hoping each time that this replacement will be another good pair. They are light as a feather and really comfortable...just wish they all were as Durable as the name implies.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Weird foggy stripes I LOVE these glasses, and have bought four pairs of them. The first two both fairly quickly (for $30) acquired these weird, foggy stripes on each lens about 1/2" from the nose protectors, on each side. I assumed it was because I wasn't putting them back in their cases when not using them, but it has now happened with one of the new pair I got recently (the ones I wear more frequently) and I have taken exceptional care of them, in the case when not worn, cleaning only with lens cleaning cloths... What is this stripe? It makes the view uncomfortable, and since it appears to be an inherent problem with the glasses, I won't be buying these glasses again until they find out what causes it and how to prevent it. I am so disappointed because I do love the glasses, and they are so comfortable, but I can't buy a new pair for $30 every six months and wait for the stripes to appear

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Incredible must buy for older fishing enthusiasts I was very impressed with these magnifying glasses. At 62 I had great difficulty tying a 4x leader to a size 16 fly. I tried the flip-down magnifiers and they helped but were very difficult to focus correctly. These Durareaders work great, the flex frame sits snugly on your face and they give me the same vision I had when I was 20!!! Even at dusk on a cloudy night I had no problem tying on a fly. The case attaches nicely to your fishing vest so they are right there when you need them. There is nothing not to like about these glasses. Highly recommended!
