Washable Wool Blanket, Herringbone is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 52.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from The best blankets ever. Year round use! These blankets are amazing! We have purchased 5 of them and they are on all of our beds. We use them year round; under a duvet in winter, and just with a sheet in summer. Because it is a natural material, it breathes AND insulates- keeping my husband cool and me warm. Wash (cold) and dry (very low) a couple of times to soften up before use. I fully expect to pass these to my grandchildren, as these are well made, heirloom quality textiles from the renowned Pendleton Mills. We have another 4 Pendleton washable blankets in addition to these herringbone, but LLBean is the only place to get the herringbone pattern and it is gorgeous! Worth every cent!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Lightweight blanket, surprisingly warm I ordered this to replace a cotton blanket of similar weight. When it arrived, I was surprised at the thinness of the material, but it has turned out to be surprisingly warm and the light weight is a bonus. Used in conjunction with flannel sheets we had also purchased from LL Bean, it has been enough for the cool temperatures and damp air of late autumn in the Pacific Northwest. We'll be adding another wool blanket as we move into winter, though. The herringbone design is understated, and goes well with our flannel sheets. It fits our standard queen-size mattress (height 10") just fine. The blanket comes with a sturdy plastic storage bag.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Short for a King This LLBEAN only Pendleton blanket is 6" shorter than the same type blanket sold in big name department stores. With a few inches of shrinkage despite Pendleton's claim of no shrinkage, it is too short for a queen size bed and sufficient in width for a queen. I have my doubts about it being beyond barely adequate in width on a king-size bed. Part of the situation may be current mattresses are usually thicker than those of years past. Rating is for use on a queen size bed, subtract a star if used on a king size.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Really nice blanket I have wanted a wool blanket for a long time, and I finally bought one. It's a Pendleton product. It's very handsome and well-made. I put it on the bed immediately and it has served its purpose well since then. We use a heated mattress pad during cold weather, but it's on the bed all year long. In warmer weather we use a Bean down blanket. During shoulder seasons (spring and fall), putting an extra blanket on top of the down blanket helps hold the heat from the mattress pad in, and makes the whole arrangement just right. I love this blanket.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Gorgeous soft blanket I purchased the herringbone washable wool blanket in Gray Heather, and am delighted with it. After the recommended initial washing and drying in my washing machine and dryer (on regular settings), the blanket has a nice soft feel. The gray heather color has a slight blue tint to it, as pictured - just what I wanted. This is without question one of the most beautiful blankets I have ever seen. It would be equally lovely as a coverlet. Highly recommend!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Quality Washable Wool Blanket (Made by Pendleton) Really love this blanket. In fact, I ordered 2 Kings for 2 bedrooms, and 1 Twin for my grandson's bedroom. When the blankets were first delivered, I thought they were a little stiff, but washed them in a commercial washer, then dried on Low/Medium heat. They came out softer and even more beautiful. Love the blue color--will work well with my L.L.Bean Wool Braid rugs. May even use them as a bedspread during the Winter. You can't go wrong with the Pendleton quality of workmanship. (Last year when I visited the Oregon Coast, everything there was Pendleton made. I was very impressed, so when I saw these blankets were made by Pendleton, I knew I had to have them (and they were also on SALE---Nice!) Thank you L.L.Bean!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect Wool Blanket I like everything about this grey heather herringbone wool blanket - the look, feel, weight, and performance. Nice and soft, as others have pointed out. Bonus points for being machine washable and dryable. I've paired it with a thermal cotton blanket below and a lightweight cotton quilt on top which has worked perfectly for me, here in New England. After years of cotton and all manner of microfiber bedding, it's nice to be reminded of the appeal and versatility of all natural wool.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Washable luxury What do you do when your cat throws up on your beautiful new wool blanket? Throw it in the front-load washer, then the tumble dryer, and it comes out clean and even softer than before. The blanket, not the cat! There is something very satisfying about the lightweight warmth and smooth drape of a wool blanket and this one is impressive. Looking forward to many years of use.
