Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent quality - bought my 1st set 14 years ago and they are still in good condition and have not pilled at all but I feel I will need replacements soon and have been waiting anxiously for LLBean to offer them again. These are the only flannel sheets I have found that weigh 6.2 oz. per sq. yard. Another major vendor only offers 6.0 oz and are $80 more for the King size. I take extra special care with them: NO fabric softener, wash in cold water on delicate setting and also dry on delicate setting. I dry the fitted sheet separately so they do not knot into a ball. I also do not 'overdry' them and will drape the sheet over the dryer overnight to let the seams dry completely.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Incredibly Soft and Warm I was surprised when I first received. They look like something from a Russian orphanage. I at first though I had purchased wrong, it looks like wool. However, looks aside these are the softest and warmest flannel I have ever owned. I absolutely love them the warmth and comfort. I wish it came in different colors, but the sheets are covered with blankets. I would note first couple of washes produce a lot of lint, I would put double lint socks on the water outlet and 1/2 way through drying clean the lint trap. These fit the bed well, they are long enough, the pillowcases are extra long, Best flannel sheets!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from PERFECT We live in Maine. It's COLD during the winter (and sometimes the summer, too). When my 90-year-old father moved in with us from TN & I started preparing him for Maine winters, one of my first thoughts was LL Bean flannel sheets for his bed. They are thick. They are soft. They are WARM. They wash like a dream. They fit the deep-pocket bed. They are sturdy. Pop has used them already (it was in the 30s the other night) & said he didn't even have to use the extra blanket. It's like sleeping in a warm cloud - which is exactly what I wanted for my father. Due to my tight budget, I'm asking Santa to bring me a set.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very well made I bought the Heritage Chamois Flannel Sheet Set in Heather and Grey Plaid. I have never bought sheets from LLBean and I was impressed by the quality of these sheets. I didn't want boring sheets and these sheets had a richness to it that I really liked. I actually bought a second set when I received my first order because I loved them and LLBean was professional in every sense and extended the same discount to my second order. I wanted sheets that would last for my cabin rental, I think these fit the bill.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Hibernation Weight we don't call these flannel sheets, we call them the hibernation sheets - once you get snuggled in them, you never want to get out of bed! So I love the weight (heavy but not too heavy), the softness of them is velvety, they are cut very generously in terms of the bottom fitted sheet with a thick mattress and the top sheet with lots of overhang on all edges (so many flannels cut the top sheet too small!) and the pillow cases for the queen are truly queen (not standard) in size, so it's easy to put the pillows in the cases. While they don't shed on the bed, the amount of lint they generate in the dryer is "oh my goodness" -- four washes/drys and they are still filling the lint screen but it hasn't affected their softness and no pill balls and they truly haven't shrunk in size. Wish there was an addtional color as I'd like to have a second set since these do take a bit longer to dry due to their heavy weight. LOVE THEM!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Like being wrapped up in a warm hug every night I have other LL Bean flannel sheet sets (the Ultrasoft Comfort sheets) and I love them, but these are my new favorites. I'd had my eye on these sheets for a couple of years before finally buying them last fall and I'm so happy that I did. They are the softest, coziest flannel sheets I've ever slept in. We've had some bitterly cold nights here the past few weeks, but using these sheets combined with my down comforter (also LL Bean) I haven't noticed the cold. They do generate quite a bit of lint, but even so they seem to just keep getting softer with each wash.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from seemingly warm sheets but so much lint! Well first let me say that I have not yet tried these sheets, as it is still way too warm in the NE. But I do want to say that I have run them through the wash and dryer twice already, and I dont believe I have ever seen more lint in the dryer. I removed incredible amount of lint twice, during BOTH washes, from the dryer. I feel like there will still be awhole lot of lint for at least the next few washes, as the second time around, there was still pretty much the same amount as the first run through. They do still seem to be plenty thick however, so I guess time will tell.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent sheets at a good price These are not the most expensive flannel sheets I have purchased and they are worth twice the price -- they are soft and smooth, they don't pill, there is very little stretching, they fit over the pillow-top mattress and don't pop off -- they are a little thicker than others we have used and I expect they will last longer as there isn't much lint produced in the dryer, either. Even though I would have chosen another color had it been available, they gray has grown on us. I would definitely purchase these again.
