Rated 2 out of 5 by from cold This jacket is so cold to wear in even late fall or early spring weather. It's freezing in the winter. The "mesh zones" or whatever they are calling them are poorly done. The pockets of the outer shell are mesh, so they don't keep your hands warm at all. The wind blows up the bottom and through the mesh and makes your whole body cold. The inner shell does nothing to prevent this. The outer shell is good at keeping water out, so if you happen to be caught in a 60 degree spring rain you might almost be warm and protected. It feels much like you are wearing a rain coat and not a winter coat. The outer shell is completely unlined. This is a raincoat with mesh pockets that is thrown over a medium weigh "puffer" liner.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My Go To Jacket I live in Charlotte and this is hands down the perfect jacket for our milder, wetter winters. The fit is perfect, Velcro allows for an adjustable sleeve fit, the zipper is really smooth and the fit of jacket is spot-on

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice but less features than older model Like the Tek fabric. But miss the feature where the hood folks into the collar and wish the pockets had fuzzy or warmer lining. This is cold weather jacket for me and hands in pockets are just plain cold. Otherwise it is warm and versatile.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Dry, Warm, Versatile This is a very versatile coat because it’s actually three coats in one. It’s a very warm water and wind proof winter coat (we live in the mountains of SW CO) with the inner coat attached. The inner cost can be worn on it’s own as a warm jacket. The outer coat can be used on it’s own year round as a water proof raincoat. It fits great and really looks nice.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Quality not as expected I love the jacket, but the quality is not what I expect from LL Bean. I had to glue the velcro straps on the sleeves and the hood is peeling on the inside. I took the jacket back to the store and was told that the reason for peeling is the oil from my neck. I wear it out daily and when questioned about the peeling, I tell people to be very careful when purchasing any item with a hood from LL Bean.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Quality not what I expected I purchased this in 2016 to replace a long worn and loved Columbia 3-in-1 jacket. I wasn't impressed with Columbia's current offerings/quality, and this LLBean jacket had the features I wanted. When I went to pull it out this fall to wear (2020), I noticed that the top of the velcro wrist cuffs actually separated from the velcro and now flop around. This is not cool. I am trying to figure out if I can save the jacket by gluing the pieces back together or if I have to throw it out. It seems that quality has declined all over. I guess I should be happy that I got three years out of it.
