Rated 5 out of 5 by from love them I am a woman who wears a 9, bought these in men's 7 and they fit great. A WONDERFUL slipper/shoe. Very comfortable and you can even wear them outside, and in public, because they don't look like slippers. They are great if you had a medical problem with a foot and need to protect that area and need to maintain good air flow as well. The greater height helps keeps stuff like sand or pebbles out. The only down side is they lack arch support because they are essentially, a slipper. One can add arch support, but then that area of the foot doesn't get to benefit from the sheepskin lining. Trade offs. Beans should come up with arch supports covered by sheepskin!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Lovin' 'em I am a female shoe size 7 wide. Saw these shoes & liked what I saw. Gambled and ordered a size 7 (as they are men's and not wide). They fit beautifully (maybe a bit large for some women who wear a size 7, but they are great for me - without socks they fit like bedroom slippers. With socks they feel fine & loosely snug.) They keep my normally cold feet toasty warm, and with the "Indoor/outdoor rubber outsole", I can wear them outside just fine. I have gotten many positive comments about them from those who see me wearing them. I'm Lovin' 'em and entertaining a second pair. L.L.Bean... make these for women too - we'd buy them!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Comfortable As I write this, I am wearing the Chukkas (slippers, my definition not Bean's)) The weather is turning colder so I slipped them on instead of putting on my boots. The Chukkas fit as advertised. I normally wear a size 12 boot and these slippers fit comfortably snug. I'm sure they will stretch a little over time. It's been raining and I wore them when I took my dog for a necessary walk. The slippers have a rubber type sole and my feet remained dry and WARM. I HIGHLY recommend these slippers. Would really be great in a cabin type setting or on boat/rv where wearing shoes/boots would not be appropriate.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for women, too! I wanted a bootie that covered the top of my foot for when I don't wear socks and had a durable sole for stepping outside. I didn't find any in the women's slipper section but saw these when looking for my husband, and I thought they were so cute. I normally wear a 9.5 or 10, and I got these in the men's 8 so they run slightly large. They were a tad snug at first with a slight rub on my achilles until the fleece matted down somewhat and the bootie formed to my foot - now, they are just perfect. I'm not sure why they don't have something similar for women (or have it be unisex). Ladies, try out this pair of slippers; you won't be disappointed!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Better than the original wicked good slippers! These slippers are so comfy. I have been through a few ll bean slippers and this year I went with these because they just look so awesome. If you're concerned what others are saying about sizing up, I would say to go with your true size. Every pair of bean slippers are always tight at first, but after only a short time wearing them they will stretch, A LOT. The fur will get smushed down and the suede will stretch I promise. I swear my last pair went from being a size 10, to feeling like an 11 in maybe a month of owning them, and I only wear them indoors. Hope this helps!!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Wish They Were Wider These were just what I wanted: Slippers I could go outside for short chores and matters without changing into boots. I was remarkably disappointed to find they were way too narrow to wear with any weight of sock and tight on bare feet. I had ordered a size 11, but it was way too narrow. I do not like having to order a larger size just to get the width, and that is what I would have had to do. It is doubtful they would have "broken in" right as the sole is pretty ridged stuff. Now I see even if I was to order a larger size (12) the wait is until 20 May - way too far off, so much for my poor old duck feet. Wish they fit, they were real nice and wicked good.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for chemo patients I'm currently undergoing chemotherapy which, among other side effects, makes my feet and hands very cold. These shoes are exactly what I needed. Assuming--correctly as it turns out--that I would need something to cover my ankles above the tops of the shoes, I ordered a half size larger than my normal 11 1/2 to be able to wear long thin socks underneath. Perfect! The sheepskin was a tad tight for the first few wearings, but collapsed just enough to be comfortable after a few days. They are also great for short outings out of the house, to get mail, etc. A bit expensive, but worth it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Ever I bought these boots, hoping they would keep my feet warm in the house on cold days. Boy, do they! These are very comfortable and plenty warm. I haven't had frosty toes even once this winter with these boots on. I wear a 7-1/2 to 8 in most women's shoes. I ordered an 8, and it's comfortably snug. If you wear a half-size, I recommend going with the half-size up, not down. The boots are well made and look like they will last a very long time. I sure hope L.L.Bean still has them when these wear out, because I'll definitely order another pair! I have recommended these to several people already. You will love them!
