Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not as good as expected I've purchased several of these woven belts from LL Bean over the past 10 years. The belts from 10 years ago, were fine. They were well made with excellent leather. The belts from 2 years ago were great. They were made extremely well, and were attractive. This latest belt, despite the picture are constructed completely differently. They are a single layer of leather, unfinished on one side, and now look very casual. I consider the price too high for the quality presented, and I'm disappointed. with it. The belt sizes still run 2 inches too long, so order one size down from normal.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from good braided belt....but.... The quality of this braided belt is good compared to what is out there today, but if you go back some years, it's only average. I have one from Eddie Bauer, and one from The Gap, both at least 20 years old. Their quality is wonderful. Thick rich leather, and real BRASS buckles. Both belts are showing age but are very strong. I also have a new one from EB - horrible, thin, cheap, weak leather, mystery metal buckle. It's less than a year old and is falling apart. Made in China. This l.l. Bean one is British, and the leather is pretty good quality. I only wish it had a real brass buckle. What happened to those?

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Disappointing I have been a loyal L.L.Bean customer for years because of the consistent quality and value. Many years ago I bought one of these belts. Totally satisfied. However, after years of wear, I need a new similar belt. While I found many similar belts at half the price, I ordered it from L.L.Bean because of my loyalty to the brand. Opening the package with excited anticipation, I was totally shocked at how much less total quality of size, materials and design there is in the new product. I will no longer look to L.L. Bean for quality and price.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Disappointing quality I’ve been been a fan of LL Bean for many years due to the high quality of their products. This product was very disappointing. I bought this belt after my previous belt (same product) needed to be replaced after many years of use. The replacement belt is cheaply made. My previous belt was double braided with smooth leather. This belt is a flimsy, single braid and has a rough texture. Very disappointing quality for a Bean product. Hopefully your other products aren’t being cheaply made too...

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Braided Leather Belt Replaced a braided leather belt where a strand had partially ripped. Disappointing because I loved it and it wasn't that old, my previous belt of the same type lasted longer. The older belt, as is the new one, was a size 36; my waist is about 34-35. The new belt is lighter weight and shorter, just barely reaching the belt loop beyond the buckle. The edges are a bit "sharp" whereas the older one felt rounded and smooth. I am contemplating returning this the next time I get to an Ll Bean store.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Disappointed Lately, every time I get something from LL Bean that I had before from them, and compare the quality of the same two items, the new one is noticeably cheaper (lower quality). I can't be the only one who notices this. I'm almost ready to give up on them. This belt is certainly not worth $50.00 in my opinion.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Braided leather belt I bought this because other belts I have bought lately crack and break. Because of the many web openings, it is adjustable in very small increments. So this belt is my solution, or so I thought. Problem? Because of the webbing, it stretches as the day goes on, resulting in pants slipping, shirt coming out, and so on. So, several times a day I have to readjust the pants and belt and tuck in my shirt. It does look good, and it certainly won't crack. But it's not perfect. It may eventually stretch to its limit and then be fine thereafter. Time will tell. I would recommend it, but I'd describe the problem.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poor quality Have purchased these belts in the past. They were of great quality. I was going on a trip and thought I would get a new belt. The quality of the new belts are extremely disappointing. Instead of a leather feel, they feel like plastic. Something that you would buy from a dollar store.
