Men's 1912 Jean Belt is rated 4.0 out of 5 by 346.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not as advertised Wow! I discovered that LL Bean still sells full-grain leather belts and was so excited since genuine leather belts are garbage. I recently purchased the Katahdin Iron Works Belt and a dress chino belt. Both seem to be made of quality materials, especially the Iron Works belt, which gets me many compliments. So, I was excited to order and try the 1912 Jean Belt since it is also advertised as full-grain leather. What a letdown! The belt is genuine leather and very thin at that. It is being returned today for a refund. LL Bean, I love most of your products, but please do better here with the product or description or both. Thanks!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Very cheaply constructed belt. Do not get this belt. In the past, these belts were made from full grain leather, the highest quality leather. Now, they are made from a company in England of genuine leather, the lowest quality leather. This belt is made from bonded leather and is no longer the quality of the belt that they used to make. It looks cheap, and about the only quality product on this belt is the buckle. I ordered one recently and when I got it I sent it back the same day. Again, this is a cheap, bonded leather belt that no way reflects the quality of the LL Bean products of the past.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from NOT full grain leather I just received this belt so I cannot comment on the durability of it but felt compelled to write a review because it is not full grain leather. There are 4 grades of leather: Full grain, top grain, genuine, and bonded. This belt is genuine leather which is the 3rd grade of leather. This product clearly states full grain on the website. I've had genuine leather belts before and they all have fallen apart. That's why I was looking for full grain. I am disappointed in LL bean for misrepresenting this product. This will be returned.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from unimpressed The leather part is fine although, like a lot of other reviewers said, it runs large. No big deal. I just drilled another hole in it and that fixed such a minor problem. My BIG problem, and why I wouldn't recommend it, is the quality of the buckle. The part that goes into the holes in the leather seems to be made of a sheet brass type of material rather than a cast material. The belt is relatively new so no problems so far, but, I can see where it will bend easily when I'm doing physical work. Not what I was expecting from LL Bean but I've been very happy with everything else I've ever bought from them. I just won't buy this belt again.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Product description mismatches the item. Lacks durability, soft feel but easily scratches, crack marks on the belt, sold and listed as : "Supple full-grain leather will break in nicely and get better with age" as per the description, but stamped as "genuine leather" on reverse side of the belt, which is several grades lower than full-grain leather. Image on the website does not match and representative of the belt, the belt is lighter brown in color. Ugly looking buckle. Made in the UK. Poor quality, Returned.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Cheap Leather, Not Full-Grain As Listed Very disappointed in L.L.Bean. This belt is thin, feels cheap, and is clearly marked as "genuine leather" on the reverse side of the belt itself. That is several grades lower than the "full-grain leather" listed in the product description. Other reviews have mentioned this same issue, but the product description has not changed and still lists the belt as being high quality full-grain leather, when that isn't true. Buyer beware: This belt may not be the quality you expect from L.L.Bean. I returned mine.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Disappointed I've purchased 3 or 4 belts from LLBean over the past 15 years or so, and have always been pleased with the quality. Not so with my current purchase. The most recent belt (purchased about 6 weeks ago)is of much lower quality and a real disappointment. I measured the thickness of the leather and compared it to my last belt. I found that this belt is almost 30% thinner. In addition, the prong, which in my last belt appeared to be cast metal and quite heavy, in my new belt it is thin, stamped metal and has already bent. The belt is already wearing and I doubt it will last a year. My other Bean belts lasted 3 to 5 years at least. I'll keep it because of the hassle of returning it but every time I use it I'm disappointed. Bill_S

Rated 5 out of 5 by from SOLID LL Bean Performance I wrestled over buying this belt as it is on the upper spectrum of expense, but since 95% of my clothes are official LLBean, I wanted to continue the trend. I waited for a sale and snatched it up. It is WIDER than I pictured, (I didn't scrutinize the specs) but it does fit in all of my pants' loops. This belt is Heavy Duty, and I expect to wear it for years and years to come. Once again, LL Bean quality come through. {40 inch belt Exact measurements: 1 1/2" wide. TIP to End of Buckle: 51 inches. Buckle length: 2 inches. Edge of leather to tip of belt: 49 inches. Edge of leather (where base of Buckle Prong is) to first hole is 41 1/2", second hole 42 1/2", etc. to fifth hole 45 1/2". }
