Men's Gore-Tex PacLite Stowaway Wading Jacket is rated 4.2 out of 5 by 30.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from GREAT JACKET I have been shopping around for a high end rain jacket for fishing out here on the Oregon Coast. I spent about $50 on trying to restore a older GORTEX rain coat. That was a waist of time and money. I have been confused by rain coats that have Gortex layers but need to be treated. I compared that to my waders that never have been treated. Couldn't get a good answerer. My opinion, just avoid anything that needs treatments. This coat is lightweight and so far after a month waterproof. No issues with pockets as well. Only issue is with perspiration on extreme wading. Sleeve area was damp.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from AWESOME Favorite So I don't understand when one review said it's too short and goes to the waist-dah. It's a wading jacket-dah. Perfect for deep wading and even then my jacket goes into the river do to my short height. Every season I'll be up to top of my waders at one point. I've had it for 4 years now & sometimes it gets wet near seams when I'm in a 2+ hour heavy rainstorm. wrist enclosures, the ample room, lightness more often then not makes me forget that I even have it on-truth. I do own another brand gore-tex jacket that I wear, when I know-in-advance, that it'll rain & be cold so I can fit hardcore warmth under it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Holds Body Heat Comfortably Firstly do not forget that this is a jacket for a specific purpose. When you are standing in the water and it's nasty cold and raining - you will be blissfully comfortable. On the odd side is this Goretex material is crinkly, it makes noise. I know Goretex makes softer, quieter material because I have it for hunting. Also, the fly holder on the chest is very stiff and hard and a tad big. I'm thinking of replacing it with a piece of sheep fleece. The size "small" is good for a small to average sized female with room for casting. (Why don't the women rate a Goretex wading jacket? Just asking....)

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Keeps the Rain Out I didn't buy this jacket as a wading jacket but as a lightweight rain coat that would keep me dry but not be too hot to wear. It is that. I think it is a little pricy for what you get but I have heard L.L. Bean’s clothes wear a long time and good clothes are almost always expensive. It came with a black rubber piece that you can stick to the Velcro strips on either side of the chest where a vest pocket might be found. I don’t really know why it needed one but if it needed one it would look better if it had two. That is just a personal taste matter I guess. All in all I would recommend it to anyone who wants a water tight jacket to shed the rain.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Looks Great, Runs Small I own the 5-7 year old version of this jacket in both large and x-large and have been very happy with how they perform, but never cared much for the styling and all the velcro. These looked so good I had to order one (actually ordered both sizes with intent on sending one back). This version of the PacLite jacket runs about a full size smaller than previous versions. I'm 5'9" and 120 # and fluctuate between large and x-large LL Bean merchandise. The x-large fits perfectly. The sleeves are just right for me (33" shirt sleeves), but may be a bit short for those with longer arms. So if you are between sizes or want a little extra room, order up a size. I anticipate it will perform as well as it looks.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Fishing Rain Coat for Mild Weather This raincoat is good for light weather fishing trip but not heavy or cold weather. I used the coat on an October Alaskan fishing trip and the first day of rain the pockets filled with water. I tried again the next day and made sure all the zippers were up but still had the same issue. I bought my boyfriend the same coat and he had the same problems. I recommend finding a zipper wax to help keep the water out of the pockets. The size of the neck is also narrow if you have layers on, it is tight and hard to zip, be sure to buy a larger size if you plan to layer up. The generally body of the coat held up well and kept me dry, only issue was around the wrists where my under layers were generally wet if it was raining.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very comfortable. I was fortunate to buy this jacket at a 25% discount last year. I had previously owned the Emerger II jacket. While it functioned well, the interior felt like damp rubber and I wanted a lighter, more packable wading jacket to store in my fly-fishing vest. I like being able to store the hood under the collar when the rain stops. I e-mailed some questions and then spoke to customer service before I purchased this item. They were fantastic, measuring sleeves and length and describing the lining. I can use it as a windbreaker while fishing after the sun sets and the temperatures drop. Gore-Tex is the best in waterproof and breathable material that I have ever used. It is a worthwhile investment for avid anglers.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Gortex-Tex wading jacket Very pleased. Just finished fourteen days of April fishing in Colorado with rain, snow, wind and temps from 25 to 70. Jacket performed admirably. The medium size allowed plenty of room for a fleece under layer and the light weight allowed easy storage in my vest as it warmed up. This jacket provides a very light weight rain, snow and wind protection that is easy to carry with you all the time. An essential piece of gear for any fly fisher.
