Women's Silk Pointelle, Long-Sleeve Scoopneck is rated 4.0 out of 5 by 246.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Needs Design Update I own a pointelle silk top I bought years ago which I love. Time for a new one. I read the reviews for this item and although almost all the comments were about the scoop-neck, I decided to take a chance. Everyone was right, the scoop neck needs to be re-designed - it falls much too low. The other disappointing thing was the sleeve cuff - it stretches too easily so hangs below my outer shirt. My old top has a narrow "pointelle" finished sleeve and it fall perfectly and still is as firm as it was the day I first wore it years ago. For this item, I ordered the wine color which I really like and although not perfectly satisfied, I like the item enough to keep it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from great under layer, almost.. I love the silk pointelle long sleeve scoop neck under layer BUT...in the past I have always purchased the 3/4 sleeve style. BUT it is NO LONGER available. I was not happy, but liked this item so much, previously, that I decided to purchase it anyway. The long sleeve style with the cuff looks more like underwear, and the cuff creeps out fron under my long sleeve sweaters and tops. This is a feature that I do not like. I ordered petit, but the sleeves are still long .I did not want the short lseeve or sleeveless style. I hope they bring back the 3/4 sleeve.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Kinda short A good fit and a very nice, very thin under layer. Love the scoop neck so its invisible under my button up neckline. The length isn't as shown in the pic. Sleeve length is perfect, body length is much shorter than it should be, I could only tuck it in while wearing high waisted stretchy panty as I am today. It would be too short to tuck into mid or lower rise jeans. I'm 5'6". I got the black 1x and it fits as it's meant to. I'm not wearing it stretched and thus taking up the length, its just really short. I'm on the fence about keeping it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 5 Star I bought this top + the bottoms that go with it several years ago. Recently I was cleaning out my drawers + I came upon them. I remember when I got them they seemed so delicate I was afraid to wear them. Figured they'd be in tatters in no time. Anyway, I pulled them out + wore them to bed. Now I use them as pajamas. I got back on this website + bought a second pair to wear as long underwear under my clothing. They don't seem to add any bulk + they don't make my clothes look tighter. They have an extreme warmth to weight ratio. I almost forget I have them on!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Somewhat expensive but worth it I tend to be cold, and stay cold, without layers.I am not able to be as active as I used to be, so count on silk, then wool, under my shirts to maintain body temperature, yet not get overheated or feel too bulky. This undershirt does the trick. I have had several white ones for at least 3 years; now added black. They are somewhat delicate and do shrink slightly, even with care. I wash delicate cycle, then hang to dry. I find the Small ample for my 128/5'5" frame.I usually wear M in tops, as I like some graceful ease around my midsection.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Absolutely love these -- wish I'd ordered more! I ordered two of these -- in black & cream -- and I absolutely love everything about them. I love the silk pointelle material, and I actually prefer the low cut neckline, which allows for layering under turtleneck, boat neck or V-neck sweaters. I am 5'4" and weigh 150 -- ouch! -- and the medium size fit perfectly. So I was very surprised when I came back to the website to reorder to discover this product did not receive a unanimous 5 star rating. I only wish that I had ordered the mocha color before my size sold out, and I certainly hope L.L. Bean brings back this material -- and especially this cut -- next winter, in more colors. I'd love to get the mocha I missed out on, plus red, navy, aqua, pale blue, and/or grey. I really, really LOVED this product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Lovely silk base layer What a treat to again have a new base layer top. Whenever the daytime high will be in the 30s (oF) or lower, this lovely silk base layer goes on under whatever I'm wearing. Occasionally I'll use the camisole-style top depending on the sleeve style of whatever I'm putting on over it. This is my go-to first layer. I wash them on cold, hand-wash cycle, and, as suggested, dry flat. I've ordered this silk base layer for years; most years I restore my supply with one or more of this comfortable, lovely, silk top.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Bring back the 3/4 sleeve version! I have been buying these for years, and although the silk has gotten considerably thinner, they’re still useful. But many of my dresses and tops have 3/4 length sleeves, and so I often bought the 3/4 length sleeve version of this product. But suddenly this year you’re not selling them anymore. I try to push up the sleeves of the long-sleeved ones, but they’re slippery and inevitably creep down and show under the sleeves of my dress or top. Please bring back the 3/4 length sleeve version!
