Rated 3 out of 5 by from Almost great Got this vest and have been using it this season, comfortable to wear and the M/L fits me perfect. However, the buttons on the back come undone easily causing the zippers to not stay in place. Simple fix with some safety pins, but an annoying defect none the less.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from strong made, comfortable Used vest in MT for the month of September, zipper was an issue, came unzipped, game bag entry too small for large birds

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great modern vest with vintage appeal I really like this vest for hunting and I also use it for sporting clays. The only thing I would change is to also have the shell pocket flaps have Velcro to hold closed. Now it is only a button flap which I don’t do so I have to be mindful when I bend over not to dump my shells.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Least favorite vest I own. I have used this vest for several years now, and while I like the basic design and style that is where the good things I have to say about it end. It is way over sized. M/L is actually L/XL. If you are an average build person you have to cinch the straps down as tight as they'll go, and it will still be loose. The water bottle pouches are tiny and will only accommodate narrow diameter bottles. This really sucks as this vest gets used when it's warm outside and the dogs drink as much as I'll give them. The game pouch is almost inaccessible with the vest on, and if you can contort your arm to reach it, the zippers slide down. The game pouch is also very small. It will hold a limit of ruffs, but if you manage to limit on blue grouse or pheasants, you'll be carrying a few in your hand.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Too Hot for Florida Love the look, fit and function. However, it’s too hot to wear in Florida. The canvas doesn’t breathe and the lower strap that goes around the waist really doesn’t let air flow. I wore it for 2 coveys and had to take it off.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Makes shooting a breeze I am a new hunter (so there's your grain of salt). I hunt with a light single-shot 12 gauge in grouse woods, and was running a medium-sized backpack for my "game bag" and for accessories like compass, license, matches, water, etc. I transitioned all my gear to my new game vest and it was an instant improvment, especially for ease of movement through brush and also getting my shotgun up to bear on my shoulder without a bulky strap in the way. I can fit my headphones, all necessary accessories, water, multiple grouse, half a box of shells (the shell organizer is awesome and great for quiet movement) and even a roll of toilet paper in this thing and I still have ease of movement through dense woods. For pheasant, hares, woodcock, or squirrel, this is awesome. I can see how pheasants would be large for it, but I bet you fit 2 in the back pocket no problem. So get out there with this vest and bag some game!
