Men's Double L® Chino Shorts, Classic Fit Plain Front 8" Inseam is rated 4.4 out of 5 by 91.
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Why the crease?? Note well: these shorts have an unremovable crease in the pant legs. I thought I was buying regular old chino shorts WITHOUT the non-iron fabric and accompanying crease, but these shorts come out of the dryer with a silly looking crease right up the front of both legs. I just wanted some casual shorts, but Bean doesn't make them anymore. If I wanted the non-iron shorts, I would have bought non-iron shorts. To the people at Bean: please stop using non-iron fabric for every pair of chino shorts you make, regardless of how you label them. Pretty please.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from sizing wrong I purchased these shorts last year for my husband and he loved it. I made sure I ordered the same item, checking the product code, and ordered a different color. The shorts came but could not be buttoned as the waist band was at least an inch smaller than the original pair. I'm so disappointed that the sizing is not true on the same product from year to year. The only difference we saw is this year the shorts were made in Malaysia as opposed to China. I"m returning them and am afraid to reorder

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Built to last I am used to buying shorts that last just one spring and summer. Sailing and other activities just kill them. Now these shorts are easily 2x as thick (by my unscientific assessment),fit terrific, and look tailored even at day's end. Then throw them in the washer and be amazed by how wrinkle-free they come out. I would purchase another couple of pairs, except that for the last few years,LL Bean has played Lucy to my Charlie Brown! Frequently, when I try to reorder (usually within 10 days of first order) the item is either back-ordered (I recently waited 10 weeks for one item),OR ,the item is out of stock and they aren't going to get anymore. It makes me very hesitant to order from LL Bean

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Too crisp I thought I was buying what I would consider to be standard cotton chino shorts, that would have a relaxed look after washing. These shorts have been washed several times and still look like the day they arrived - all pressed and creased. The fabric texture reminds me of no-iron Dickies khakis. They do fit rather well, but I'm not a fan of the pressed look and texture of the shorts. I wish Bean had some regular old 100% cotton chino shorts for casual wear. These shorts aren't it.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Skirt-like legs My husband liked the brick color, the waist fit perfectly, the fabric & construction were true to LL Bean standard. Alas, these are being returned - the legs are so wide it looked like he was wearing a skirt! LL Bean, please make men’s shorts with slimmer legs using your superior standards.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Double L Chino Shorts Shorts fit great. I have a swimmers physique and the "Classic" fit hugs my legs (just enough) giving them a muscular look. the Khaki color is not to lite in appearance, and the Chalk Blue has the right amount of fade to it. Buttons hold tight, and pocket placement is perfect! 8" inseam just long enough but not to short when I sit. Recommended buy!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Permanent creases Nice fit, but unfortunately no amount of washing or ironing will get rid of those creases on the front of the legs - completely ruins the casual look I expect in chino shorts

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good Value, good fit and with style A very good basic pair of shorts at a good price. The legs are trim, but not tight and the 8" length is perfect for someone of my height (5' 9"). After a summer of wear they are well broken in and comfortable, but come out of the wash looking as good as new.
