Women's Polarized Bifocal Sunglasses is rated 4.2 out of 5 by 99.
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Cheap sunglasses I bought a pair of bifocal sunglasses at the drugstore for $20. The bifocal part was an integral part of the lens. I bought these glasses from LL Bean for $99. The bifocal part is just stuck on to the interior of the lens. The glass and frames are very similar in quality to the drugstore glasses. The Bean glasses fit a little better and have a great carrying case that I will never use. Based on the drugstore glasses the Bean ones should have cost about $30. ($10 for the case.) By the way, I am a male with an average size head so these glasses might not fit the average female. I have long been a fan of LL Bean quality but these glasses were a real surprise.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Hinge broke after 1 year of careful use These glasses are a wonderful idea. The bifocals are the right size, they reduce glare, the part that rests on your nose is the glass frame ( ie no small pads that press into your nose) and the ear pieces fit comfortably. But I won't buy again. The hinge insert on the earpiece broke free after 12 months of I think pretty careful use, albeit almost every day wear and storage. Super glue did not fix the problem. Sunglasses do not last forever, but 12 months seems like too short of a interval. Two years seems right and what I had gotten from others Thankfully LL bean has other choices of UV and bifocal sunglasses and I bought those as the replacement.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Poor design, great customer service I ordered these bifocal sunglasses to replace the exact same pair I've been wearing for the past year. One of the temples/arms of my previous pair fell off in the middle of a road trip. When I brought the glasses to a local optical shop I was surprised to learn they could not be repaired. Apparently a whole new temple/arm would be needed due to the unique design of the frames. I had many hours of road travel remaining and needed quality bifocal sunglasses in order to be able to see my maps, iPhone, etc. I called LL Bean and ordered a replacement pair for delivery to my hotel. It arrived the next day! In summary, I love the lenses but am disappointed in the design quality of the frames.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from useful and look good but... I got these several years ago...I like the coverage and the look...the polarizing..The thing I don't like is the reading 'lens' part is a plastic glued-on piece and even when I first got it a line bothered me ...but it was too sunny where I live (high desert) and I didn't want to wait for another pair (that may have the same problem) My older model of LLBEAN Performance ones had the lens cut-- not the plastic press on lens. Before I got another pair I would find out if the bifocal lens was glued-on or actually cut. The later is superior, it seems to stay cleaner.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Just what I wanted I use polarized sunglasses but needed reading glasses to look at my phone, etc, so, I decided to try these bifocal sunglasses. They fit very well. I wore them nearly constantly during a 3 day fishing trip. They did not slide down my nose as my old sunglasses tend to do. At first it was very hard to get used to the bifocals as I've never used them before. Took some time to adjust to how to move my head to not look through the bifocals when I didn't need them. But once I got used to them, I loved them. Wonderful to be able to see things up close and be able to read while wearing sunglasses.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Purchased because of initial macular degeneration Never spent big bucks on sunglasses before, but since my eye dr diagnosed me with initial stages of macular degeneration and said to get polarized lenses I decided to invest some $$. While I've been wearing inexpensive bi-focal sunglasses... and LOVE them... I now need them to be polarized. After much internet shopping with very few options for style and appeal (other than for fishermen)...I stumbled across LL Bean. These are terrific. Looks good. Fit well. Great clarity looking through the lens. Good price and great case (which should keep them protected from my harsh use). Buy them! You won't regret it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Comfortable, sturdy and great fit I am pleased with these reader glasses. Reader glasses are hard to find, so I was very pleased that LL Bean makes these glasses and with the larger lens style. I need a wider fit around the nose and these glasses seem to fit without much redness around my nose. I would definitely recommend these glasses.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect Combo Sun/Reading Glasses The Best Ever Combination Polarized Sunglasses with Bifocals!! I ordered two other combinations from LLBean's and neither fit me--the Onos brand Oak Harbor was small and the Performance Deluxe Medium was large. I am an average sized woman with an average sized face. These were perfect! One ear piece needed tweaking a bit to fit my somewhat crooked ears--one being lower than the other. But, best of all--the bifocals are in the proper place and I got used to them within an hour. I like them so much I wear them in the house most days and evenings to read -- the clarity of these lens is so much greater than 'dimestore' glasses they've become my 'go-to'! I like the Iris/Gray color, but would love it if Bean's would do even more colors. I have a pair of Native's Roan sunglasses I got last year from Bean's and love them too, but having had cataract surgery last fall, I now need readers! I'll end up with another pair when they do either red or turquoise frames! Thanks for another great product--a bit pricey, but so worth it if you want to save your eyes, read, and NOT loose your sunglasses!
