Rated 1 out of 5 by Joey from Difficult Assembly - Poor Instructions and Design I am in the process of assembling this bench and have encountered several obstacles. Several screws would not fit because there was another metal screw either coming down from the top or from the side blocking the path of the pre-drilled holes. As I attempted to tigten the screw, I hit the metal from another existing screw. There are 2 large screws and the instructions (photos) indicate placement in 2 different pre-drilled holes in different areas of the bench. I've tried inserting the long screws in each of the designated holes but the screws are so long that the pointed end juts out. I'm going to have to drill another hole in the composite board in an area where the entire length of the screw will be seated in the board. I shouldn't have to refiure it to assemble it. I would return it except it's heavy, partially assembled and I disposed of the shipping box. Based on my experience, I wouldn't recommend it.

We have hot summers and the furniture holds up in the brutal heat, year after year. High quality, hefty and comfortable with or without pads.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Porch and Bench Lover from Textured Surface Holds Dirt, Otherwise Perfect This bench was easy to assemble by myself, looks nice, and is dependably sturdy. I had wanted it for years and ordered it during the pandemic. There is only one problem which is very disappointing. Its surface is not as smooth as I believe it should be and as a similar bench from another source is. Because of this rather textured surface, the bench collects dirt and does not clean off as well as similar furniture. Neither does it feel as smooth or slick. For every other characteristic I would recommend this bench, but because of the way it collects and holds dirt, I would hesitate to recommend it. This is a porch bench, and it requires more scrubbing than the other benches. If it were easy to keep clean, I would give it five stars without hesitation. I like the cushion which is made for this bench, and it saves some scrubbing. Receiving the bench, easily assembling it myself, and enjoying its design, sturdy usefulness, and view from a distance have been and remain pleasures. Only the dirt catching, textured surface causes regret, and that surface was not evident in the photographs online or in the catalogs. If I were able to add my photographs after scrubbing, I would share the examples.

Rated 5 out of 5 by yvon from Solo assembly is possible I am very pleased with the bench. I assembled it myself. I found that using a power drill was necessary to get some of the tighter fitting connections done. Overall assembly wasn't that difficult. The end product is really very sturdy and good looking.
