All-Weather Presidential Rocker is rated 3.9 out of 5 by 48.
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Frustrating assembly and poorly cut pieces. This rocker really is lovely to look at but putting it together is not just a simple matter of a few minutes. The holes are not well drilled and the fit of the pieces is not perfect. The directions were a little too abbrieviated as well, causing me to make a mistake in assembly. Perhaps if I had had a working drill to put the hex piece into it would have gone more quickly but I spent over an hour at it and now have to take part of it apart to put the seat in. When I spend this much on a piece of outdoor furniture, and extra for delivery, I think it should be very simple to assemble or pre-assembled. Not what I usually expect from Beans.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Rocker We love this rocking chair. I also found that the holes in the rocker did not align, but customer service suggested I only start the screws in each hole slightly forcing the second one to start it. Then alternately tighten each screw a little bit at a time. It will force the chair into the rocker holes. It really wasn't that hard. I assembled the whole chair by myself using the unfolded box as a pad on which to work. Following the directions was easy and once the seat and back were in, I tightened all the screws and then sat back and enjoyed the cool night air. My recommendation if you run into problems is call customer service, They were great.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Literal Best!! I bought two of these rockers and a side table several years ago. I heard that they were tested for weather tolerance on the roof of the flagship store in Freeport. Mine still look like new. I wipe them down in the spring and that's it for maintenance. I leave them outside on my Connecticut porch year round. I am astonished at how nice these chairs are over time. They are the same color and condition as the day I bought them. When my daughter and son in law bought a house, I bought them the same set. They love the chairs so much for the look and comfort that they are in their living room awaiting Spring.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Too upright for this chick. I do like this, and it is still great looking after two years on the porch. My comment: Rocker sits very upright, there is no backward lean in the design. You sit in it ( not rocking ) are almost straight up. Hope that makes sense. I kind of like to slouch ( kick back ) a bit this does not allow that. I am 65" tall, maybe it works better for taller folks? I had no problem putting it together, a breeze. Would not purchase again due to seating angle, upright like a stick figure sitting down. But does "look" great. Thank you!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Cane seat disintegrated. I purchased this rocker about 6 years ago. It says it is all weather, but we faithfully brought it in every year for winter. It's an attractive comfy rocker. This summer, when I sat in it, the cane seat split and cracked. I don't feel it lives up to other llbean quality, especially for the price. Of course they will replace it and let you ship it back for free, but that's after you take it all apart, buy a box to hold it all, package it up, and cart it off to the ups store. Sadly, that's not as easy as it sounds.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Lovely in the end.................... We love love love the finished product, but putting the two chairs together was close to a nightmare. Do NOT think that the assembly can be done by one person alone and do NOT think that you can tighten the "screws" unless you have incredible strength. The use of hex head screws using a 4 mm. allen wrench instead of "normal" screws made it even harder since they stripped easily and we couldn't use a cordless drill. In this day and age, it seemed like an antiquated way to do things. I still gave it a 4 star because they turned out beautifully. Just be aware that the assembly is far from average.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Recommend with Caution! Our chair, purchased from Bean's about 2-1/2 years ago has come apart at the armrest. My husband can probably somehow put it back together, but I think this should not have happened with a rocking chair that has lived on a covered porch all its short life, cost a lot, or really at all. Shipping it back and waiting for a new one right in the middle of our busy summer is a ridiculous thing to ask us to do. I am very disappointed to see this kind of quality coming from Bean's. Perhaps using a little better hardware might have made these chairs less flimsy. Also, my husband, when we first got them, said they were horrible to put together and he is very handy! For example, holes were not drilled all the way through and the hardware is soft and easily ripped. If you are willing to put up with all this, the chairs are comfortable and nice to look at.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Unable to assemble I ordered 2 of these and sent both back. They were part of an order of 6 items -- 4 of which turned out to be defective (including one of these -- after that many defective items, I refused to assemble the 2nd one of these and was refunded my money). The problem with this one was that the caned seat fit in to the chair assembly on one side, but was to narrow to fit on the other (and there was no way to loosen things up to make it fit).
