Women's Ultrawarm Mittens is rated 4.3 out of 5 by 232.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Really Warm I spend alot of time outdoors and my hands always freeze and turn blue. I purchased these mittens hoping they would keep my hands warm. So far, they have been great in 30 degree weather. It should get colder this week and that will be the real test. I had no problem with the stitching or design. I even washed them as soon as they arrived. There was no problem when they dried. They do run big! I purchased a medium and I could have worn a small. I also purchased liners for when the temperature gets down into the teens and below, just in case. These are really soft and very comfortable. So far they are doing a great job at keeping my hands warm!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wonderful mittens I am amazed at how warm these mittens are !! When I first got them out of the package, I thought they wouldn't be very warm, since they are light and quite thin. But I tried them when I went for a walk on a very cold morning, and I was happily surprised at how warm they were !! I had originally ordered the large size, but they were way too long, so I returned them for the medium, and those fit perfectly. My hands get very cold real easily, so I am always looking for ways to keep them warm. These mittens are perfect - I always use hand warmers with my mittens, and my hands are toasty with the combination of the hand warmers and these mittens.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome mittens I live in Wisconsin where it gets extremely cold. These mittens are not for below 0 days, I use them in the just around freezing range. They are lightweight and easy to wear. The reason that I'm writing this review is that my non-verbal 9 year old autistic grandson loves them. For years, he has refused to leave any mittens on his hands, they come off as quickly as we put them on. Until this year when we tried these mittens on him. He leaves these on! Now he can go sledding and be outside in the winter without his hands taking cold damage. I'm so grateful that he has mittens he will wear now.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love these warm mittens I bought myself a pair of these mittens last winter along with the long down coat and loved, loved them. Compared to another pair of down mittens I have which were considerably more expensive these are better and these match my new coat. They were nice and roomy, at first I though they were too big, but my hands get really cold and so on those days when waking my dog I put a pair of lighter leather gloves on inside them and they kept my hands warm (this is a first!). When just running errands, or if its not super cold I just wear the mittens alone. After one winter of wearing them all the time they still look like brand new. I love the fur trim.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Wanted to love these I looked online for a long time to find warm mittens, and I thought these might be The Ones. But when they arrived, I couldn't even test out how warm they might be (although they seemed fairly thin), because there was a protruding seam running down the inside of them. The seams weren't symmetrical. The right-hand mitten's seam ran around the outside of my hand. But the left-hand mitten's seam hit squarely the length of my little finger, irritating it constantly. This is not a flat seam, but rather a 1/4 inch solid piece of felt-type lining that can't be ignored. I can't imagine why the mittens were constructed this way, rather than with the seams turned away from the hand, but I've already returned them. Unwearable. So sad!!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Warm and comfortable These mittens are warm and comfortable. I frequently wear them running and cross-country skiing, and they keep me warm even when temperatures are down to 0 degrees Fahrenheit. They are wind-proof and not bulky. I have only two recommendations. First, it would be nice if they had a drawstring so they could be pulled and closed more tightly over the wrist. Second, I ordered the white mittens, and they have stained black from my ski poles and/or steering wheel. So if you are going to be doing activities where these mittens rub on other surfaces, I would recommend getting a darker color.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Warm - but run small I was excited to get these before winter began here. We just had our first snowfall and I wore these mittens this morning for the first time, to shovel snow. Though I bought them in large, the elastic that defines the wrist is a good 1 inch short of my wrist. They're warm, but because they run small, it feels like the mittens are going to fall off - - and my wrists are cold! I'd love to exchange them for a larger size - but alas, no one thinks a 5'7" 140 lb. woman could have "XL" hands. Guess what - some of us do! Please make larger gloves and mittens. We have a new L.L.Bean store opening in town this weekend . . . . I wonder if I can exchange these at that store for a Men's small or medium?

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice, but huge These mittens get the job done in terms of being waterproof and warm. I put them on to help brush the ice and snow from my car when the temperature was in the negatives, and my fingers stayed nice and dry. That being said, these are really big. I ordered the medium because there was really no sizing info. I wasn't sure if I'd be a small or medium, and figured "how big can a medium be?" Silly me. There's at least 3-4 inches extra around my hand. I didn't want to bother with returning them, instead I just wear my knit gloves underneath them. I'm a ring size 5, so if you're in that size range, go ahead and order the small.
