Much thinner than expected
The hat is quite thin and light. I measured my head and carefully chose the appropriate size but it was still too big. I returned the hat.

Comfortable, waterproof, personalized fit
The hat is waterproof and great even on sunny days when it's too warm for a wool hat and too cool to go without. It has two side snaps for style and an adjustable elastic at the bottom of the crown to tighten as needed. I like the color. It's a cool hat.

Not as good as I thought it would be.
I thought that since it was waxed that it would have some structure to it but it is pretty flimsy. Just hope that most of the wrinkles will eventually come out.

LL Bean Waxed Cotton Packer Hats
Can't say enough good things about the LL Bean Waxed Cotton Packer Hats. Bought all three colors and love them all. Like the lighter weight also.

Great fishing, yard hat.
Excellent workmanship. Great hat for backpacking and camping. Runs very big. Had to send the 1st one back. No problem, Beanie took care of everything. Thanks gang.

Great hat
I wore this hat while guiding two weeklong canoe trips on the Allagash River this spring. I wanted a crushable hat that keeps the sun off my face but still looks good.
