Men's Bean Boots, 10" Shearling-Lined is rated 4.6 out of 5 by 285.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice boot. I got these boots for christmas in 2010. Great build quality, made in USA! I would have bought them for that fact alone. The boots are nice and warm. The only thing keeping me from giving 5 stars is the way the tongue is constructed. The tongue isn't attached to the upper, leaving a gap where water can come in. I think it's due to the "roll down" function of these boots, but I don't ever wear them that way. I wish LL Bean would make 2 versions, one where the tongue is attached to the upper, and one like this, then you could choose the one you wanted. I'm ready for this winter, put on a nice coat of sno-seal last spring. Bring on the snow!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from First Bean Boots Today, I purchased my first pair of LLBean Boots at the Outlet Store in Wareham, Massachusetts. I was a little bit concerned about the sizing, so I drove there to try them on. Trust the recommendations, size down. The outlet store had a great variety of shoes, but limited in mens selections. I looked back and forth at mens and womens shoes. Finally I asked a store associate about the difference between the mens and womens - nothing, only size charts. I am now wearing a pair of womens Bean Boots size 9. Perfect fit! Thank you LLBean for the men and women who make these men/women shoes.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Awesome Boot -- Questionable Sizing Advice First, these boots look great and are extremely well made. But the sizing is weird and I don't think the advice is accurate. I ordered a 9M - my usual shoe size. With midweight socks I find them to still be pretty large, particularly the length. My toe is nowhere near the front of the boot. Sure, with heavier weight socks it's a little more snug but still a lot of room up front, even though my arch then feels slightly forward of where it should be. But moreover, the advice would have been to order a TEN to use with heavyweight socks. If I'd ordered the "correct" size 10, I could almost fit BOTH feet in one.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worth the money and the waiting time! I do apologise for my rotten English, yet English is not my first language. I have first seen those LL.Bean Duck Boots when I spent two years in Boston as a research fellow with HMS. Unfortunately, I did not buy a pair then. So I had to order the boots to be shipped to Germany, which wasn't a problem at all. Four weeks after having placed my order I could pick up the parcel at the local customs office. The boots are just wonderful! We do not have anything comparable in Germany. In winter nothing beats those watertight and perfectly insulated boots. And I just like the looks! Reminds me of the great times I had in New England, even though we do not have Nor-Easters as they haven them over there. The quality and sturdiness of the boots is above expectations. They certainly are worth the money!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Only waterproof to about 4 inches up Good quality overall. One disadvantage: they are NOT waterproof all the way up the 10-inch boot; only up to about 4 inches. The connecting flap (gusset?) to the tongue is cut at the rubber part of the boot. This would allow water to trickle in at the bottom of the tongue. These would not be good for deep slush or walking through water over several inches in depth. For mud, thin slush, or dry snow they should be fine. For my purpose, I would probably buy this boot again, but the LL Bean product description should really state: 'Fully waterproof to 4 inches.'

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Soft Comfortable Leather I already had a pair of Bean Boot 8 inch GoreTex, which I have had for a few years and are great. Wanted something a little taller, and these fit the bill. The leather is softer and not as stiff as the GoreTex Tan model. Feels closer to the tumbled leather that's on my wife's 8 inch flannel lined Bean Boot tumbled leather. Build quality looks good, waiting for winter to see how warm. I wear a size 9 in most shoes, ordered the 8 and it fits perfect with a standard athletic sock. Easy to get in and out of and lace up. Way easier to drive in then a Pac boot. Guessing this will be my go to boot this winter. Love it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Prfect cold weather boots I finally brokedown and ordered for myself a pair of LL Bean 12" shearling lined boots. I had given them to each of my children and wife--and finally bought my own. They are so warm. We are just experiencing -10 to -20 degree weather. My feet do not know it is that cold. Comfortable all day long working outside on the ranch. Greatest boot ever for hunters, fishermen, hikers, city dwellers and all people who love and enjoy the out of doors. Thank you LL Bean--made in America boots.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great boots My old, uninsulated boots were just too cold, so after 20+ years, I gave them to Goodwill (they had been resoled, so are still in pretty good shape). These insulated boots are great. We have 10 inches of snow outside, more coming down every hour, and they got me out and about with no problems. Very comfortable, but definitely get the shearling insoles to ensure all-over warmth. I got a full size below my actual shoe size (matching the pair I previously owned). These were tight at first, but as expected, the shearling has adapted to my foot, so they are snug but comfortable now.
