Classic Colors Down Comforter is rated 4.4 out of 5 by 74.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great comforter I LOVE this down comforter! It is lightweight but warm, and I also totally lucked out on the color. I was hoping that the new khaki color would match the bed skirt and pillow shams that I already had, and it's perfect! It is true what some other reviewers said about the crunchy sound, but I don't care at all. The sound is very negligible. I live in upstate New York, and with the fall weather now, this is very comfortable. I think when it gets really cold, this comforter will be fine with maybe just one blanket. I am totally sold - it's very well made and I believe it will last me for many years.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic and Cozy Comforter This blanket is amazing! It does not have corner ties but I use it without a pricey duvet to cover it and it’s held up for over a year- even with many camping trips- very well. It’s very warm but not too warm. It regulates heat better than a regular blanket. Much more breathable than polyester. If you need more warmth, a second blanket on top and keeping this one against your skin is how I like to use it. The feather crinkle noise is there but it’s never been a problem. I just bought a second one for a color change and have convinced several friends to purchase them and they just hush about how much they love it!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Very warm but doesn't breathe My wife and I wanted a king size goose down comforter that was still within our $300 budget, so we bought this. Most king size goose downs are $350 and up. First impressions: the outer fabric is crinkly sounding. Not horrible, just feels cheap and makes noise when you move under it. This comforter is very warm, but every night we used it we both woke up in the middle of the night in a massive sweat. We used it for three nights before returning it. We had a goose down comforter before this (queen size), and never had this problem. I think the lining of the comforter is poorly designed and doesn't allow moisture to escape, which is a big problem. We ended up returning this a got a really nice down-alternative comforter. Very pleased with our decision.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Fabric is Incredibly Noisy The fabric makes loud, crinkly sounds with your every move. I bought 2 of these in different colors & also bought 2 in the primaloft, and they have the same awful noisy fabric. All 4 are being returned. I understand the need for a tight weaved outer cover to keep feathers in, but cannot understand it with the primaloft where there are no feathers. Too bad, because it has everything else going for it; cotton, nice large sizing, attractive colors - BUT, all that is useless when the sound disturbs your sleep. Change to a quiet cotton cover, please!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Marriage Saver! We are using this down comforter as our summer-weight blanket. We live in the southwest USA with temperatures over 100 degrees for the entire summer. My husband likes it really cold in the house at night and I sleep in the buff, so imagine our arguments over the thermostat ;) Anyway, we have a super heavyweight oversized down comforter that we love, but it is too hot, heavy and puffy for the summer. This LL Bean comforter is a great weight and perfect warmth for the two of us during the summer. The soft blue color ( we bought) is a wonderful opportunity to ditch the duvet cover. The biggest selling point is that it is an oversized king - a must have for us and very difficult to find with such good quality. This comforter was exactly what we were looking for. We would buy another and recommend to dear friends and loved ones.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice! I bought one of these a few years ago and, after attempting to buy another, noticed that they were no longer available. Glad to see the colored down comforter has recently returned to the fall inventory. Yes, these comforters [do] make a crinkling sound at first...but only until they have been washed a time or two. Though a bit thin, the quality is outstanding. That thin design makes them idea for all season layering. Unlike thick and expensive down comforters, these do not inundate your dryer with loose down. I rate these comforters an excellent choice!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing Comforter This is my second comforter I've purchased from LL Bean and I am as satisfied with it as I was 10 years ago with my first one. The quality is amazing! I live it Alabama, so this is just perfect for our weather. I also like the fact that despite of it's size I can easily wash it in my regular size washing machine. This product may seem pricey but you get what you pay for! The comforter is well worth it and it will last a long time. My first one is still in good shape after 10 years!!!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very Good Quality The reason I did not rate this as excellent is because I was hoping the down would have more warmth. I am not sure how it will hold up in frigid weather, but other than that, it seems like I can use it year-round. The feathers do not come out like ones I have bought from The Company Store.
