Men's Tropicwear Shirt, Short-Sleeve is rated 4.6 out of 5 by 367.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice shirt, BUT.. I have four of these shirts, two short sleeve, two long-sleeve. I like the button-up option on the long sleeve. The shirts are very comfortable and surprisingly warm in cool weather as well as being cool in warm weather. Seem to be well made. Good fit -- BUT... I am not happy with the cut of them -- irregular bottom meant to be tucked in, I guess. I wear shirts like this outside shorts or pants (cooler and more comfortable) and I feel silly with the back flap wrapping around my rear. These shirts should be offered in a straight-cut option for outside-the-pants wear. Would look nicer and fit way better.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from BETTER THAN SHIRTLESS While the name of these shirts from L.L. Beans, Tropicwear, seems to suggest that they might be comfortable in warm weather their name does not come close to the actual experience of wearing these fantastic shirts on a hot day, weather out in the sun or in the work shop. These shirts are DELIGHTFULLY COOLER than wearing no shirt at all!!!! While they are certainly quite comfortable wherever and whenever I wear them, when the weather turns hot, muggy and breeze-less their fantastic comfort is not diminished in the least!!! Following my initial experience, I soon had bought several more of these shirts. This item will appear on many of my future orders submitted to!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wish the women's version was this nice I have several of the women's version of this shirt and although I like them there are many things that surprise me L.L. Bean skimps on that they do not on the man's version. Buttons for example, they are "normal" buttons on the man's version but on the woman's version they are rubber material that is difficult at best to use. Also, I like for people to know I am wearing a L.L. Bean shirt, however, on the woman's version they removed the embroidered L.L. Bean name from the chest pocket but it's still on the man's version. What's up with that? I do wish the man's version was more fitted like the woman's version but then it wouldn't be a man's shirt.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic I first bought these to wear when traveling (cruising, in Europe, South America) because if you wash your clothes every 3 days, you only have to carry 3 days of clothing other than the ones you're wearing. Traveling light is the secret to an enjoyable trip by limiting your luggage to a carryon unit. No waiting for baggage handlers and no lost luggage! But I digress. I still have the shirts I bought over 10 years ago (still in great condition) and I wear them 90% of the time. Wash and wear! I just ordered 3 new colors and a smaller size because I've lost weight! You can't go wrong with these shirts!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Extremely comfortable even in the most humid temps My body type doesn't handle humid weather very well. I sweat profusely, even if I'm just sitting still. I need clothing that wicks this moisture away and stays dry and good looking at the same time. This shirt handles that chore with style. Thank you so much for your great products.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Bomb-Proof Shirt I have one short sleeve and 2 long sleeve of this shirt. The nylon/polyester blend fabric is very durable. I've washed these now at least a hundred times and they always come out wrinkle free. Dry fast in or out of the dryer. Great for traveling. Can be hand washed with any soap and will be dry by the morning. Pockets are large with velcro closures at top. Also a velcro tab that I like for a quick place to stash sunglasses or reading glasses. Shirt can look quite sharp when tucked in, and wear it un-tucked for coolness. Mesh under upper third makes the shirt a bit heavy. Buttons have held up for years and years. Runs a tad large; I usually take a large shirt but choose a medium with this one. There used to be a polyester version that I would not recommend but the nylon/poly blend is great: feels like cotton and is a tight weave that confounds mosquitoes.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Light, airy, iPhone 6+ fits in the pocket I have four of these shirts. They are lightweight, durable and comfortable to wear although I was initially leery of the polyester feel rater than a cottony feel. No matter; keeps me cool and has great UV protection. The other big plus? Big front pockets that Velcro cover. They fit my iPhone 6+ perfectly. I love my iPhone, but it was a real pain to discover how many of my shirts don't have front pockets that fit the phone. My four Tropicwear shirts are now in heavy rotation...due in no small part to my iPhone.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great shirt! I bought one of these shirts, and after wearing it I bought another. A very comfortable shirt, and in the tall cut, long enough to keep the shirt tail tucked (mostly). While the material is a little heavy for South Texas summer, the design with the netting in the back and yoke area makes it very "breathable". It's probably perfect weight for the Maine tropics. I'm not a fan of the velcro pockets with the stitched down medial edges of the pocket flaps. The pockets are hard to open.
