Men's Scotch Plaid Flannel Robe is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 987.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Lightweight yet warm and comfy I am a woman- 5'7" and 140 lbs. I didn't like the options for robes in the women's department, so I thought I would try a small in this robe. I really like it. I have had a flannel shirt in the grey stewart print for a couple years and have enjoyed its quality and longevity. So I went with the same print in this robe. Most robes are too bulky to get the warmth I want. This robe is warm, soft on my skin, and still lightweight. The length is also what I wanted. It comes just past my knees. The women's flannel robes are too long. Highly recommend for both men and women.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Sorry to report the quality has gone down hill I purchased a flannel robe from LL Bean about 8 years ago and it has been a fantastic purchase, soft, warm & still looks almost new. However I started to get tired of the color and decided it was time for a change. Ordered another Men's Scotch Plaid Flannel Robe, but the item I received in no way compares to the robe I originally purchased. After 8 years of 3 season wear the fabric on my original robe is still heavier and warmer than on the new robe. Fit was also a bit smaller. I understand the need for a company to maintain a reasonable price point for their products, but I would gladly pay more for the quality products I have come to expect from LL Bean.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Maybe...You'll fall in love with me all over again I had a robe, once. I wore it as a younger man, and as young men do. It was functionality following the form, and ultimately the robe was lost to the cruelest mistress of all great things - time. I went many years without wearing a robe; I had no care for them. Then, one day, I came upon an LL Bean Scotch Plaid flannel robe. I shall not describe the moment I put it on the first time for that is personal. Many moons have passed since I have been wearing this robe - I am older and wiser by the course and grace of nature - however, I am now a better, more comfortable man. How could I ever wear a robe other that this? The sizing is accurate and the fit is true to form.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from "tall" means for very large waist I ordered a "tall" size because I wanted the robe to extend well past my knees. But when I received the item, the tall size seemed just as long as my wife's regular sized robe. however there was a lot of extra fabric that I had to wrap around my body. As a result the robe fits too loose on me and opens up in the front after a few minutes of wear. It is also unweildy to manage all the fabric. The robe is very comfortable and looks good. I am just taking the hit and re-purchasing a regular sized robe. I really wish I knew that "tall" means extra large waist size. The posted information in the sizing chart does not indicate this.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Flimsy flannel I have shopped at LL Bean for many years. This the first time I have had a negative experience with something that I've purchased. This robe fits well and feels good, but the quality of the flannel is lacking. When it went through the wash/dry cycle it shed an amazing amount of lint. I had to remove the lint from other garments, and that was no small task. Some of them still have traces of lint remaining. I've purchased flannel items from Duluth Trading, Lands End, Woolrich, LL Bean and others, but never experienced anything like this before. It is the thinnest flannel I've seen. I don't know where you have your flannel manufactured, but I recommend that you find a new source.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from See-Through_Bathrobe Immediately out of its shipping plastic, I donned the robe in front of the bathroom vanity mirror. After checking various angles, I realized that I could look inside the robe, and through the robe, toward the white basin counter, and see light reflected from the countertop through the robe to my eyes. I could see *through* the robe. It is that thin; the material is that lightweight. Not acceptable. No. Just no. I have dress shirts that are less light porous and made of more substantial material. They serve their function quite well, but a bathrobe, which should be thick, absorbent, warm, and substantial, may not also be made of see-through material. This item must be returned.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Warm, but not long enough My husband loves this robe! The print is great and the fabric isn't too heavy so it keeps him nice and warm. However, for a tall, the sleeves are a bit too long and the length just isn't long enough. He's 6"1" and the tall length in the XL is only 46". It covers his knees but ends a few inches after, so isn't comfortable when he sits down. So, as a work around, I take the fabric from the previous old robe (same pattern) and sew an extra 6 inches or so to the hem to get it to a desirable length--like close to 52" or even 53"! Would be nice if a "tall" was indeed sized for a tall man. But it's still a keeper; just means a bit of extra work for me to do!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Men's Portugese Flannel Robe My husband purchased one of these several years ago and loved it, but left it somewhere on a trip. So, he ordered the same robe this past week. The robe looks the same, but is much lighter in weight and it is also much shorter. Looks more like a long jacket than a robe. The quality is not nearly what it used to be. I have noticed this in other clothing items that I have purchased from LL Bean in the last few years. The robe is soft, but you are no longer first class. You have become mediocre. I would rather pay more for the first rate merchandise you used to sell.
