Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very nice pants. Would like belt loops. I am very pleased with these pants. One thing I wish they had are belt loops. In my experience web belts always loosen. I prefer a leather belt. If there were belt loops, one would have the option of using the web belt or removing it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great travel pants I have three pairs of these pants. I use them for travel. They're lightweight and pack small. The fit is not restrictive but the tapered legs give them a trim look.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazingly great pants for travel I did a previous review on these pants in the sea green color that was available on sale at the time. I stated in that review that if they held up I’d buy a second pair in a “more normal” color. Well, I bought them. fit great, feel cool (temp, not style) comfortable. They have now gone to another continent with me and will be returning tomorrow. Love these pants especially for air travel

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Purchased sale color for use in upcoming travel - I purchased these pants on sale in Sea Green to use for some international travel I have coming up. After some recent domestic travel I decided that zippered cargo pockets were a necessity on an airplane. I read all the reviews and picked them over some other styles and brands because I have had great experiences with LL Bean brand, the zippered cargo pockets and the stretch waste while still having a functional zip fly. I am wearing these pants right now. I am in love. I expected them to be more of the same fabric of a pair of non-stretch ripstop cargo pants I bought at another vender a few years ago, but those feel more like canvas. These pants remind me of Parachute pants from the 80s (and yes, I'm old enough to have had parachute pants in the 80s). They are so lightweight and so stretchy that I find them extremely comfortable. The fabric feels so light when you take them out of the package that I had concerns. On, that lightness translates well. They feel almost as though you aren't even wearing pants. They stretch well, the articulated knees work well, and they have plenty of room, even though I am larger than average. I normally wear a 44-32" from LLBean but almost all of the lounge pants etc. I buy are a XXL so I ordered the XXL. Glad I did, the XXXL (which Bean recommends for a 44) would have been much too large. I have to actually tighten the built in belt on these to keep them up. They fit more like lounge pants overall in the waist. The pockets are a great size and the zipped cargo pockets are toward the top of your thighs when seated, so they will be appropriate for use in an airplane seat. The right one holds my iPhone 13 Pro Max (the big one) and the left holds my Traveller's notebook (passport size) while zipped. Not sure how/if the pocket sizes change on different sizes of the pants. I have only two questions for performance remaining. I am not fond of the feel of the zippers on the pockets they are very light, which translates to delicate by instinct, so I am unsure if they will hold up long term. Knowing LL Bean I trust that they will, but they way they feel in my fingers make me nervous. Also, I'm unsure how they will wear after the first washing. The instructions for washing are clear, and will be followed, but I will not be able to comment on that until after. I am thrilled with the pants and if they come out of the wash completely safe and fitting the same, I will be ordering more in the more traditional colors.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from set to travel Just received these hiking pants.. color is hard to pin on the computer screen.. the green is a touch darker which is fine. a different color to vary the wardrobe. I like the 2 side zip pockets, the 2 back zip pockets & the hand pockets. Good overall space for all pockets. These zip pockets are important for travel. The button has been improved. The belt is ok.. I have some other belts I could use if this one goes plunk.. the material is breathable. I did not want the a water proof treatment. The old Cresta's are not treated with waterproof & I still have several of those. The old pockets were mesh material which was a good feature. I bought a length 28 - normally order a 29/30 , however the length is fine for hiking, size is / large. I am about 36 and the waist fits fine. I can use these for every day & for hiking. Material has some stretch & dries quickly. I like the stretch waist band & would add belt loops. Overall a good pair of hiking pants.
