I use them to secure the bottom of my pant or snow bib legs for winter recumbent trike riding. They keep cold air from blowing up my pant legs, and they also help keep my feet warmer.

Rated 3 out of 5 by 75 and in the way from Ski gaiters I use mainly for x country skiing. They have good coverage but take a couple of minutes to get on properly. Some tendency to ride down.
