It traps all of the moisture and debris from foot traffic. It was time to purchase a larger size for the front entryway. Two of my daughters also have this doormat for their entryways. The product is excellent in performance, the patterns are attractive, and the quality is excellent and long lasting ! Highly recommend. You will not be disappointed

Rated 5 out of 5 by Joed from Water Hog Floor Mats are the best ! We have 6, various sizes/shapes water hog floor mats now. We bought two more with different colors/schemes for our newly remodeled kitchen. These mats are made extremely durable and have a great rubberized bottom that hugs the floor, doesn't slide or move when walked on. These mats are fantastic for spills or dirt. They clean the bottom of your shoes/boots with the various texture schemes. They are easy to clean. I take them out side, hose them down with some light dish detergent, a few light scrubs with a handled brush, hose and rinse and leave outside to dry. They dry out quickly due to their construction with recycled plastics. They don't retain smell and I have never noticed any mold or mildew with them because of their construction. There are many colors and designs to chose from to match any decor or interior scheme. I also find them good for the outside door, which is under a porch roof at our side entrance. They really keep the dirt and water out of the house. You'll be happy with these floor mats. The quality vs price is most excellent. The 6 mats we've had now for years still look new, haven't noticed any wear. They're at the main entrances/exits of our home, so there's continual traffic on them. Also, they clean very well with our carpet vacuum attachment.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Kelly M from Needs better non slip backing I’ve had this by my back door for a while now, it collects dirt and dog hair well. It’s very hard to clean. A vacuum does not clean it well. I’ve washed it and that seems to work. I wish this had a more solid non slip backing. It constantly slides on the hardwood flooring, and I’m always adjusting it and putting it back in place

Rated 2 out of 5 by Theresa from Quality is questioned. Not the same quality as previous mats ordered. The mat is composed of "sqeaky" material that has not faded. And it is not the same red as previous mats.
