Way too small
When it arrived I thought I was sent a kids size by mistake. This hat is way to small and shallow to be a mens size. Bummer.. I would have loved this hat otherwise.

Classic trucker's cap updated perfectly
While I think all of the releases in these TS x LL Bean capsules are pretty stunning from an aesthetics perspective (and, at times, stunningly priced for what they are), I know they have also been plagued with some strange fits and cuts (I'm looking at you, billow-y chamois shirts!). This classic trucker cap benefits from being exactly what it should be: a traditional fitting trucker's cap. First off, the details make it; from the red tartan rear closure strap to the oversized LL Bean patch that feels both vintage and modern at the same time, this is a well thought out and well referenced piece. The yellow hits true to picture; it's not quite mustard, not quite safety yellow, but reads to me more like a crayon yellow. Fit wise the brim is well curved out of the package with a higher crown (but not ridiculously high) for a more vintage fit. The only other thing I'd note that was a silly choice was including an extra long garment tag on the side sweatband. It HAS to be cut out to have a normal looking hat and I think it's only sewn lightly onto the band, but without a seam ripper or the confidence to use it I just cut it down to a tiny nub that is hard to see from the outside but still there if you look. While I hope I'll be able to find a few other TS pieces on sale somewhere or as returns at my local store, this cap is a great addition to the rotation without breaking the bank (only a few bucks over a lot of the standard LL Bean fare).
