Rated 5 out of 5 by Wenonah from Great base layer I wear this as an extra baser layer on extreme cold days when skiing at Sugarloaf in Carrabassett Valley, Maine. I then wear another heavier base layer on top of it, which makes the cold manageable. I also wear it as a single base layer on the warmer days. The hood is great under a helmet and helps to keep the wind out. It does not itch!

Rated 3 out of 5 by Robin from Face opening too small If this had a larger face opening I would love it. As it is, it is so tight I don't pull it over my head. Loosen the face opening and it's a great piece of gear.

I wear it down but can pull it up over the lower half of my face in the cold. It's super lightweight. I don’t wear it against my skin because of the wool, which does have the hint of itchiness. This could become an issue on a run.

It's very light & I can't wait to test the hood. It fits like the tops speed skaters wear and in front it pulls up to snugly cover your mouth and nose.
