The wider belt supports the two water bottles, and the roomy compartments (3) without drooping or pulling away. The pack has plenty of room for snacks, sunscreen, and other essentials. There’s even a hard covered zippered compartment. Originally designed for fishing, I’m so glad I bought it for hiking!

Rated 4 out of 5 by Living the life from Almost perfect! You will want to use the shoulder strap if fully loaded. I wish the shoulder strap was a bit wider and the pad doesn’t stay in place. Anything added to the nice loop on the strap ends up sliding down the strap. Otherwise, excellent pack! Holds lots of gear for a day out. Well organized and plenty of individual pockets for small items. I like it more than I thought I would! Glad to add it to my fishing options! It’s great to not wear a sling or vest on hot days.
