This jacket fits perfectly nicely contoured at the waist with some room for layering for skiing. Love the pattern... reminds me of glaciers in Antarctica! I have another of L Bean's puffer coats in the same 850 down and it keeps me really warm, so I think this will work out perfectly for skiing.

Rated 5 out of 5 by KPbachan from keeps me nice and warm I seem to be collecting LLBean outerwear. I have a few winter jackets but they are rather bulky so I decided to order this. It is perfect. It's light and packs up nicely for travel. It keeps me toasty warm even when I'm out in the snow. I haven't stood outdoors very long at minus degrees but who does that. It keeps me warm while running errands, picking up kids at school, playing in the snow with kids, etc., and that's what I need it for.

Only downside is that it is hard to put the hood up when the jacket is fully zipped. I had to unzip a few inches to put it up. Other than that it is practically perfect.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Diane C from LOVE IT!!! I love this jacket. I wear it to brisk walk in early morning. It really helps me be more visible in the dark and almost dark. I feel safer. It is very light weight and very warm. It is my go to jacket now.
