I normally wear a size 14 in Bean shorts & based on reviews from other reviewers I ordered a size up & they fit nicely. The color is great & the embroider edge looks very nice.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Sharon from love the shorts I love the way these shorts feel and look. I ordered these green ones and another pair similar pair (w/o embroidery) in boulder. I love the length also. My only problem is that the size 10 is a little too large and the size 8 is a little too small. But that's not an LL Bean issue. It's an issue with my body. Regardless, I love each pair and have worn each many times.

I didn't think that I would like the embroidery, but it's subtle and just makes them a little more interesting. If they came in more colors, I"d be happy to spend my summers in them They fit true to size and are a good medium weight, with pockets that can hold my wallet and cell phone
