Rated 5 out of 5 by Lisle from All sold out for a reason… These stretchy, comfortable and flattering dresses are nearly always sold out. They are great year round and perfect for travel. With a sweater, a blazer, jewelry and scarves they can be worn every day! I purchased a similar style to this one years ago. It is sleeveless, has pintuck seams at scoop neckline and elastic smocking at empire waist length. It only came in black. I have searched many other retailers for something similar-nothing even close. Why, oh, why does L. L Bean not re-stock these styles that sell? I would prefer other colors or prints to black, as well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by HappyPurchaser from LOVE this dress! I love this dress. It is a soft fabric that feels cool in the hot south Florida summer. It is modest in that it covers my chest area and is long enough that when I bend over to pick up my toddler I do not worry about giving anyone a show. It is also just enough form fitted that it does not compromise modesty but compliments the femininity of my body. I wish they made it in more colors! I purchased the black and think it could be dressed up or down for casual wear or date night. I usually wear a medium in most brands but I have found that at LL Bean, I wear a small- I purchased a medium but exchanged it for a small; the medium hung a little heavy and boxy on me. It washes and air dries well. Overall is a great dress.

Rated 3 out of 5 by PolkaDotsStripes from Smaller Fit Than Other Items I wanted to love this dress, but it fit much smaller than other LL Bean items generally do. My usual size is a small, especially in tops, as I have narrow shoulders and a shorter torso, but I found this dress to be too short in the torso even for me. The waistline hit me too high and was uncomfortable and awkward. Instead of having a slimming effect, this caused me to look shorter and wider. Mostly, it was too small in the top -- it fit great in the skirt/hips. Going up a size to a medium may have helped. The fabric was soft and flowy and the navy color is nice. Ultimately I returned it without exchanging for a larger size.
