Sun Shirt, Fun Shirt
This is an attractive shirt with a slightly different fit. As you can see on the model, it's quite billowy on her through the torso. The bottom hem nips in slightly (I'm guessing to give it a little more shape?) so it's not exactly what I'd call figure-flattering..it's a little bit tent-like. However, it's comfortable and light and I'm glad it's not a tight-fitting top. I have a long torso and long arms so I usually size up to a Large to get length. I did that here and length is acceptable although I wouldn't want it to be any shorter. If you're above 5'8 or so you might not be happy with length. (The tall person struggle is real here at LL Bean.) The elasticized cuffs are a little strange, a more traditional shirt cuff with a button to roll the sleeve seems like it would've been a more user-friendly choice but what do I know? Front zipper is a generous size for ventilation. The one outer chest pocket is the only pocket. Plaid color-scheme is true to what's in the picture, light blue and olive green is neutral enough without being boring. There's a mesh panel on the inside of the shirt for additional ventilation and the construction seems to be quality. Price point seems a little high for what it is, although I've definitely seen cheaper versions in stores that look like cheaper versions too, so I guess you get what you pay for.

This is a nice, lightweight top. Perfect for cool summer morning or evening, or late spring/early fall day (at least in New England). The fit is good and on the generous side. Ok to layer with a tee shirt or even a thermal shirt. Go up a size if you are going to layer with anything heavier. It's long enough to cover your behind, but not too long. Arms are a perfect length; the elastic cuffs are convenient.
