Nice boot, a little stiff but not necessarily uncomfortably so. I have wore them a lot and I’m still waiting for them to get “broken in”

Nice looking and comfy!
I actually bought these on a whim, and I wore them for the first time today. After I got them on, I was a little bit concerned because my big toe on my right foot has severe arthritis and is always a bit swollen and sore. It was a little bit snug at first, however, when I got it laced up, it felt pretty good and no pain.
As the day went on, I was more and more pleased with the boots. They seemed to learn all about my feet right off the bat. Both feet felt great. All I did was drive an hour and walk sidewalks for three hours, but they were really great and by the time I got home, they were easy off and happy feet. I KNOW if I hiked in them, I’d be pleased…..they will only get better every time I use them.
I’m really happy with my whim purchase. I don’t hike like I used to, but I know I can depend on these very well built boots in the Western NC mountains no matter what I’m doing. A+! Thanks LL Bean!

Excellent for caving!
I wore these in some really rough conditions while exploring West Va caves. They held up through extreme mud, puddles, and climbing on wet and slippery surfaces. And they stayed comfortable all day! I always felt confident when climbing down or up with these boots. Their deep groves make it perfect for traction through a variety of surfaces

Great boots!
I bought these for hiking in Utah, and I wore them tromping around in NYC to make sure they’d be comfortable. They were perfect for both places and especially great for hiking in Arches National Park for three consecutive days. Great stability, traction, and comfort. And even somewhat attractive!

Not waterproof
Cute and comfortable but not waterproof or even water-resistant. They have never been submerged, just used for hiking in dew-covered grass and during drizzling rain. Every time has resulted in wet feet. Way too expensive for poor quality. The two stars are for cuteness and comfort. I’m returning them.
