This Bean shirt is great and has some sun block features. This shirt is not tight like compression shirts. It is loose just what I wanted. I bought 8. 4 grey, 4 dark grey. They wash well and with light dryer dry quickly.

Unfortunately, as we are in mid winter in NY, I will have to wait for warmer weather to check the sun protecting and wicking properties. I first received an incorrect item instead of what I had ordered. Customer service was very helpful in resolving the problems and making sure that the correct item was shipped quickly.

Since it is February in Virginia, and he just received it, he hasn't worn it outside yet so I can't speak to how the "sun smart" part works, but I assume it will be effective. Having said that, he would be happy to wear this shirt every day of the year because it is so comfortable; it is thin so is perfect for layering in the winter. You will love this shirt!
