Pants nice but one problem.
I am 5’2 and these pants were a good length. They were nice material. However, there was too much fabric on the side of the hips. It looked odd.

Too bad about Tropicwear womens pants
Great fabric for travel but the cut of the pants is odd. Fabric pouches out over the hips and is exaggerated by a hidden zipper.

Comfortable, nice color, functional.
The waist is 2.5" bigger than your other size 10 (medium) pants, and I wish I had a size 8 to compare it to, as these are very loose. The petite size is a perfect length, and I will likely get good use from these pants.

New style/cut doesn't work
LLBEAN: Please go back to original style/cut of your women's Tropicwear pants! I've bought several pair of these pants over the years and they have always been nicely cut—a flattering, trim style but one that has give for hiking/walking, etc. Now they are just roomy, as in looking like big bags that puff out at the hips. Plus, the waist is huge!

Tropicwear Pant
These pants have a crotch gusset and knee gussets for easy movement. There’s six pockets: two on the hips, a zippered “secret” pocket in one of the hip pocket, two zippered pockets on the rear and a velcro thigh pocket. I can fit a small iPhone in an Otterbox case in the pockets. The pants come with a web belt and there’s a small section of elastic on the waistband of each side. (I like the older capri length version of this pant because it has more elastic). The fabric is sturdy, they will wear well. These are flattering, plenty of pockets and easy to move in. Great pants for the trail.

Disappointing
I ordered these in small and medium, and sent both back. They more or less fit, but did not look good and are not as functional as the previous version due to the smaller, fewer pockets. As others have noted, my cell phone didn't fit in the side pocket in the small, and barely fit in the medium.

Love these pants!
Just came back from a one week hike in Yosemite National Park. These are my newest pants and now my favorite. They are roomy and have great pockets to store things. There is just the right amount of stretch for easy movement. And they wash up easily and dry quickly. I will be replacing my old pants with these. I am hoping they will come in black and green in the future. I bought one pair in beige and one in light gray. Delighted!!
