Men's Rugged 3-in-1 Parka is rated 3.9 out of 5 by 16.
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Cold and drafty! Weird proportions keep this parka from being warm. The neck area is huge and open. Cold air is free to whoosh around your neck and head. The hood doesn't have flaps to help with this. The arms are very narrow. The insulation gets crushed when you bend your arms, making them cold. This also means you can't wear layers underneath. I am no bodybuilder, the arms are just too narrow. The chest and stomach are HUGE! I can't size-up for bigger arms because the chest and stomach areas are so big already! In 30 degree F weather I had cold arms and a cold neck and head (the hood is very thin). I was disappointed.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Inconsistent sizing For me, the medium tall size has always been a happy medium - pun intended - between the length of a large and the width of a medium. Whenever I find "medium tall, slightly fitted", I go for it. This coat included. But, as I found out, this coat in medium tall is made for someone who is ~50 pounds heavier than me. Much, much too wide. The shoulders fit perfect, but it is almost like the coat flares out towards the bottom, like it's pear-shaped. The sleeves are also wide at the base. Though I am new to the whole parka thing; maybe I just don't understand. I ordered online and thought about returning it for a small, but I fear the shoulders would be too narrow. Disappointing because the coat otherwise looks great and seems durable.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Returned - WAY too heavy. This coat is warm, well made, and looks great, but it's so heavy I couldn't stand it, even in cold weather. I felt like I was wearing lead weights. I ordered it for the versatility, but the weight made it just plain unpleasant to wear.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Rugged As The Great Outdoors Finally, a parka not made of light weight nylon. Heavy weight outer shell of rip stop nylon. Zip out 100-gram lining, perfect for cold temps without being too warm when the weather is in the 40's. Heavy duty two-way main zipper. Large, zippered hip pockets that will even swallow your hat with room to spare. This coat was made for an active outdoorsman.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellence Improved I had my last “thinsulate” Bean parka for twenty-five years. This new, “polar-tek” lined one is even more efficient; lighter, thinner, just as warm, and the shell is not only tougher, but also waterproof, and I haven’t even worn a sweater underneath it yet. Not as expensive as the game warden jacket, and the hip pockets are zipped diagonally, so you can keep your hands warm if you forget your gloves. Excellent gear!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from well constructed and good fit This 3-in-1 type jacket was the only one I could find with a brass zipper and available in Tall size, which were requirements for me. The jacket fit and finish is very good. It fits my fairly tall frame well, especially my 37" sleeve length. Wearing a flannel shirt plus heavy sweater underneath, the fit is good but there is not a lot of extra room in the chest. I like the fact that all 4 exterior pockets are zippered, for extra security. The main zipper is 2-way and works smoothly. I have 2 suggestions for improvement. Put some insulation inside the hood. The other concerns the number of pockets. With the liner in place, there are no accessible inside pockets. A couple of pockets or pouches on the inside of the liner would be very useful. If the hood was insulated and there were pockets accessible on the inside of the jacket, with liner in place, I would have given the jacket 5 stars.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great coat! Very versatile. Have used both the inner and outer coats separately and together. Each is both stylish and comfortable.
