Women's Mountain Classic Puffer Jacket is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 54.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wonderful Midweight Jacket I needed a midweight jacket for late fall/early winter, before I have to switch to down jackets. Since I ride horses, work around the ranch and hike, I didn't need a bunch of bells and whistles or trendy styling: just a durable, wind and water-resistant jacket an affordable price. This is it! Fits true to size (I'm always an LL Bean "medium") with enough room for a long sleeved shirt or henley over a base layer. The sleeves fit my long arms; body length is at low hip. I got the gray color which is a neutral blue-gray.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect layer for all seasons! I purchased this puffer jacket in black as a layer for all seasons. I wanted a mid weight puffer coat to throw on for walking the dog, biking or jogging. This was a great value! I like the brass zipper and button pockets. My only wish is that it had a zipper pocket on the inside of the coat. The size small is somewhat bulky in the shoulders and arm areas but the room allows for easy movement and multiple layers. The arms were also longer than I anticipated but the cut will fit very well over heavier gloves. Would definitely recommend!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Jacket, limited storage I love this lightweight jacket as an outer or mid-layer. I ordered for layering when hiking/camping. It's got clean lines and sophisticated details, it can be worn to work or a night out. This jacket will get a lot of wear. One issue: storage. The pockets at the waist have one button each. There isn't a zipper pocket anywhere! I tend to carry keys, tissues my phone in my pockets. One zippered pocket would at least be a place for storing keys/cash. Otherwise a great piece, especially at the sale price!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Cute and warm I wore this on an hour long walk in 30 degree weather with just a long sleeve shirt under (though with gloves and ear muffs). I started out cool, but was very warm by the end (had to lose the ear muffs by the end of the walk). I’m busty (34FF) and the medium fits well. The sleeves are long enough that I can pull them over my hands, but the elastic keeps them comfortably at my wrists without too much bulk. The pockets are deep enough that I’m not worried about my phone falling out, though a zipper would have been nice. Still, great cute jacket!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Warm and Comfortable This jacket is lightweight and very warm. It is exceptionally good at retaining your body heat. I have worn it in temperatures ranging from 30 degrees down to 10 degrees and it stays warm. I have worn it in the rain and watch the water bead up on the fabric while I stayed dry. I have used it as a liner with other jackets on exceptionally cold and windy days, but usually I wear as a jacket by itself. I bought it in black, but liked it so much that I bought a second one in the Shore Sand color, which is a nice champagne shade. Great addition to my winter wardrobe!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great color choices So happy L.L. Bean has been putting out better color options for women's jackets that aren't bright pink or blue! Love the "fatigue green" color. I am a medium in basically anything and everything and this is a teeny bit big, but that works well for layering.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Looks great and is comfy I ordered this because I liked the retro vibe it had, because it doesn’t have a hood, & is lightweight. I wore it out today to a couple of stores for shopping (drove, parked, & into store) for the first time in 40 degree weather with a flannel button up shirt from Target under it & I was surprisingly warm (I’m cold natured & thought it would be cold because of how thin it is). When I was inside with it on, I had to unzip it because I got too warm. I contemplated exchanging it for a medium because it seems a smidge big (I’m 40” bust, 32 waist, 41 hips), 5’5” & 160 & I’d say it’s about 2” too big in chest/stomach and sleeves are 1” too long, but when I did the ‘hug test’ to myself, I felt the pull in the shoulders so I’m afraid medium will be too small. It is slightly fitted in the waist which is great. I’m going to keep it for layering and may go ahead and give medium a try in another color next year. Overall I love it, especially how lightweight and comfortable it is for driving and not having a hood.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Just okay This was a PETITE medium. That option wasn't given when I started this review. Pros: Zipper works, easy on and off, not too long, (hits at my waist), sleeves are the right length for me. Cons; It is a much lighter weight than I expected, definitely not a winter coat, the color is very off from the computer picture. I was expecting a dark pumpkin like color and this is a dusty maroon-ish. Hard to describe. Think of the maroon you see on fall leaves. I just wore it on a 2 mile walk and it is about 50 degrees out. If it was colder than that, it wouldn't be warm enough. When I lose 5 more pounds I make be able to put a fleece under it, but it would be tight to layer with anything else right now. The other con is the finish on the sleeve cuff doesn't look substantial. I will see how it holds up if I decide to keep it but for $105.- I was expected a bit more.
