Men's Maine Warden Gore-Tex Big Game Jacket is rated 3.5 out of 5 by 6.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poor Quality Construction A jacket is ultimately unusable if the zippers and fasteners break. There are snaps on the right and left of the coat's hem, allowing you to access a utility belt or pocket. The first time I wore the coat, I unfastened the lowest snap on the right to put my hand in my pocket. The metal of the snap split, leaving one side of the fastener stuck to the other with no way to reattach it to the base. While the fabric seemed nice, I don't trust the quality of the rest of the construction to consider getting another. This is too expensive of a coat for that level of material failure.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Waterproof all the way Like many products from L. L. Bean this is an extremely well made product. I've tested it several times in heavy cold rain and it really keeps you dry. The other great thing about this jacket is the GoreTex it keeps you dry but breaths so you do get wet from the inside out. It runs a little small so if you are planning on layering underneath I'd go a size up.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Adventure Jacket This is an awesome Gortex jacket. I love that Bean and the MIWF worked together to design it. First, its a light jacket. It almost has a windbreaker feel, but its water proof. So no water or moisture will get through. Really a must when in climates that rain, especially for hiking. The front pocket zipper is taped so water doesn't enter and that picket is huge. You could store your cellphone easy, which is nice because if you need it and its raining, you don't have to unzip jacket. But inside you have a inner pocket and a lower cargo net one. The arm pit vents are a must, esp if you are idling somewhere and its not raining, but just warm. I would have liked to see them lined with mesh though. The snaps by your side pants pockets are a cool feature and are excellent quality. The bottom hem is also reinforced. Overall its a thin jacket. But if you layer it right, you could wear it for 3 seasons, easy. For hiking and outdoor adventures, its nice to have a jacket with a brand you can trust. You will find yourself saying "thank goodness I have my trusty LLBean Warden Jacket on". Now all I need to do is find some rain.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not happy with the texture & weight Too rubbery & doesn’t breath. A rain jacket that I bought a few years back from llbean had a mesh lining, was light & comfortable & could be worn in 3 seasons or 4 with layering. This jacket is good for late fall/winter with some sweat. Not a year round rain jacket.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Raincoat This is a great raincoat. It is lighter and more breathable than I expected, which is a bonus. I like the velcro panel on the shoulder.
