Love and hope
So I was in the process of losing weight (doctor’s recommendation) when I bought these. The 12 was a little loose, and the 10 was a bit tight, so I thought I was playing it safe getting the 12. Lucky for my health (not as much for the shorts) I lost a little more weight, rendering the 12’s way too loose. By the time this all happened, the shorts were no longer available in 10, and I am desperately hoping the lake patchwork is made available again in 2022 because these are my absolute favorite shorts. Are you hearing my plea, Bean?! ;) Anyhow, for reference, I am now 5’6” and 150 lbs. and Bean size 10 is a perfect fit.

Unique pattern
This is a great pattern and easy to mix and match with solid T-shirt’s in various colors. Runs a little small, so you might want to size up. Perfect length and fit.

Madras Shorts
A "throw back" style, from my youth which I have always loved! I have received many compliments on these shorts! I have paired these shorts with a navy, black or white top...or...a denim long sleeve shirt for those cooler days on vacation. Well made! Overall...GREAT SHORTS!

Very comfortable and stylish
Agree with the other reviewers that they fit a bit more snug than others, but they do loosen up a bit with wear throughout the day. They feel durable and seem to be of high quality like other LLB products. Price is a bit high, but it's worth it for a unique pattern. I like the length, not too long or short, making them comfortable to wear while working from home.

Cute Shorts!
I really like these in the shorter length. They are short but not too short, if that makes sense. I almost didn't get them but I'm glad I did.
The only thing I would change is the waistband. The waistband is at a slightly awkward midrise height, which is where many ladies tend to carry extra weight. I think it could be a bit more generous. These shorts fit like a size 4 in many other brands, in my opinion. I already guessed how they would fit because of last year's patchwork Bermuda purchase.

Cute, but fits small
Very cute, felt the cut runs small. I'm usually a size 6-8, and LL Bean tends to run large, so I ordered a 6. Can barely zip them up and too tight in the thigh, so they are going back and I'll try another size!
