Rated 2 out of 5 by from Comfortable I have worn the Cresta Hiking Boots for years. I wanted a lighter pair for everyday wear. The shoes fit as expected. They are comfortable once you get them on. Getting them on is a real pain. You have to actually sit down and use both hands pulling on each pull tab. The inner bootie doesn't extend high enough to give a surface for tying the shoe laces. The inner bootie doesn't really have a useful purpose other than a cheap substitute for a tongue. And then the bootie is too short to be a useful tongue. If a pull tab breaks off, the shoe is destroyed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from These run WIDE so size down Super comfy! Yes, the neoprene collar is a little tight at first, but it makes the shoe fit like a glove! I didn't have issues with that at all. What I DO want to say, is that if you have even reasonably wide feet - size DOWN. I have wide feet which USUALLY means I have to wear a size 9 in closed-toe shoes. I ordered the 8.5 on these, and they were still way too long on my foot! So I returned them for the 8's and they fit perfectly! Definitely more of a light-hiking sneaker, but I prefer that for my casual day hikes. I don't like stiff boots.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very Comfortable! When I received these in the mail I was excited! Got them out, tried them on and my goodness I was blown away! They do not compare to any other shoe that I own. They are by far THE most comfortable shoe I own, more comfortable than ultra-boost. I wasn't expecting them to be that way but it was a very nice surprise. The only thing I can see that I'm, not a fan of is the laces are a little too long, however other than that they are absolutely perfect! I got the brown color so the green laces match very nicely. Well done L.L. Bean and the team who make outstanding products!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Lightweight, comfortable and great fit Bought these to run the trails with my dog and they do not disappoint. The neoprene lining keeps the debris out and the cushion and light weight make them a great fit for my needs. Perfect hybrid between a trail running shoe and a hiker. Great for wearing around as well. I originally bough a half size up and that was a mistake, they are very true to size.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Cushioned sole and snug ankle fit I got these to replace my old closed toe Merrel hiking shoes I've had for 8 years. These have a higher ankle than the Merrels and are very breathable like the Merrels. I like the lace up feature and the snug ankle fit all the way around my ankle. The sole is very cushioned and it is tempting to just wear these around the house. I've only worn these around my neighborhood so far, but I think they will be great for spring and summer hikes. I indicated true to size, but these may run a little big. I left a full thumb width in the toe just so I can wear different sock types.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Everyday Shoe! I had the opportunity to field test this shoe as an independent field tester. This is such a fantastic everyday shoe for kicking around town, in the office, or out and about. Comfortable, supportive, and they look great. Fit was true to size and while a little narrow out of the box, they quickly broke in to fit my feet like a glove. Great casual shoe!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Beautiful shoe, but wouldn’t hike with it This is a beautiful shoe, but not quite a hiking boot. The size fits while wearing a thinner sock than I would normally wear on a hike. It’s just a little narrower without a full toe box you would expect from a hiking boot. As a casual shoe for pavement walking this is phenomenal. The construction and coloring has already garnered compliments.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Very difficult to put on I had high hopes for these Vista hikers , but they just are not satisfactory. One really needs a shoe horn to help put on the high top shoe due to the neoprene liner.. I thought I could deal with that time consuming struggle, but the hiker's thin ortholite insole with minimal arch support also was not comfortable for me to wear even indoors on a rug. Also the sole is very stiff. The shoe seems well made , looks nice and fits well. I was hoping for the excellent comfort similar to the LL Bean Storm Chaser boots.
