Rated 3 out of 5 by from Light Weight Bean Jacket Somehow, even though the product was on sale ... I expected a little more warmth. I know it was toughed as containing the latest scientific material, however, for me ... it was not warm enough. In fact I called LLBean believing they sent me the incorrect product. I was expecting the product to be more substantial and warm. Although, truthfully I believe that initially I have to wear the jacket for a longer period of time for my own body heat to compensate and provide the warmth I expected. I will give it another try. I admit though the products I have purchased have not lived up to the quality of my previous purchases ...

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Comfortable I do not know how warm this jacket will be. I will need to wear additional clothing like a sweater or sweatshirt underneath it. Even then, I do not know how warm it will be. The sleeves are not lined and are not fitted at the wrist so the cold air just goes right up the sleeve. It is now Springtime here so I cannot tell if the jacket will be worth $219.00 when the cold comes next winter. When the temperature here was 35 degrees, and I had nothing long sleeved on underneath it, I was chilly. I am disappointed so far to have to wear something underneath it. However, I do LOVE the color...…..lol

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great concept, fit is quirky If you re trying to decide between this jacket, and the same stretch primaloft one without the hood....be aware they are not the same body fit. This hooded one is way tighter in the hips. To me, that's a much less flattering fit. For size reference, I wear size 2 jeans and I'm reviewing the XXS. I will be returning the hooded version and keeping the plain one. It's a very comfortable and warm jacket for activity, otherwise. Easy to move around in, and packable, What a great idea, to add some stretch. If you don't mind tightness on your hips, you might like this. The stretch fabric does ensure that it zips up easily. the hood is nice and snug and adjustable. I am not usually a tough fit with clothing so I figured I'd step up and point that out.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Nice coat but HOOD SUCKS Overall this is a nice coat. It is pretty thin but will keep you warm walking in 30-40 degree temps if you layer a fleece sweatshirt underneath. The stretch is also nice when sitting/ bending with it zipped. Now the bad part- THE HOOD HAS NO DRAWSTRING AND BLOWS RIGHT OFF YOUR HEAD! The hood and neck area are large and there is no drawstring or way to tighten it, so either you need to wear a hat under the hood or tightly tie a scarf around your neck to hold the hood on. Very disappointed that they were too cheap to put a drawstring on it! I have an older LL Bean coat that I love (model 500348) that is super warm and the hood is great. I contacted customer service who said that this coat was the replacement for 500348. Well it is nowhere as nice as the older model. LLBean please make 500348 again!!! Or at least copy the hood design from 500348 onto this coat. I am working around the hood issue for now with a hat and scarf, and after the pandemic I will probably take it to a seamstress to see if they can install a drawstring.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wonderful jacket! Super lightweight and warm. This jacket is very comfortable, easily fits over my sweaters, sweatshirt. The jacket worked well in the light snow fall and kept the cold wind out. Pockets are perfect for warming my hands and holding my keys, phone, gloves. My favorite winter jacket!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great jacket Great jacket, feels very light, like it can’t be warm, but it is. Windy 20’ with light tee-shirt and I was warm . I’ve also worn it in the rain and was very pleased with how water resistant it is. This jacket stretches so it looks trim almost fitted (nice and feminine) but does not feel tight. I wasn’t sure based on the reviews and wasn’t sure on the price but I love this jacket, you will too.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love the weight Comfortable, lightweight and not bulky at all. Had to carry it around with me in a museum for 2 hours and it was so light. Seems to be warm enough at freezing temps, but I haven't tried it below 32 yet.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Lightweight warmth I am using this jacket for walking and hiking when weather is in the 40s. Love the longer length and large pockets, plus a chest pocket for cell phone. Can wear heavy layers underneath for added warmth. The hood has a good fit and allows a hat underneath. Wind resistant, better than a puffer jacket.
