Excellent in every way!
Thick, warm, so pretty, nice fit. You need to wear something under this. I wear a red turtle neck. Excellent quality. This is an unbelievable price.

Love this warm sweater!
I got a wonderful deal at an LL Bean outlet store with a percentage discount and then O had some Bean bucks, so I had a small amount that I had to pay! I was attracted to the Nordic pattern and saw that it was happily in my size! I tried it on at the store and I liked it! I had occasion to wear it in the White Mountains of NH on a photography trip on the Kancamagus Highway. It wasn't quite as frigid as I had expected that day and I was just making fairly small forays from the car, so I found I could comfortably ditch the jacket just for the sweater in the sunshine and no wind on that winter day!

Winter Sweater
Love this sweater! It is super warm and great for cold winter days. The wool has great body and does not cling or wrinkle. Super warm! Do not buy this if you are looking for a light sweater. This is a heavy sweater.

Old school - boxy but warm
I purchased two of these last winter - grey marl and classic black. Cut is boxy, so it's a top layer. Nice quality wool by 2020 standard. Warm and comfy.

A comfortable, well-made sweater
I have an hourglass figure, but really dislike closely-cut, very shaped garments. If I were taller, I’d just buy men’s clothes. :) This sweater is perfect. I don’t feel overwhelmed by it (which is rather common as a slender petite) or constricted or overly shown off. It’s not fussy. It’s warm and great for hikes or snowshoeing (or cold apartments). Not itchy at all with a base layer under it. And it launders (hand wash cold, flat dry) beautifully. I love Bean’s traditional real wool sweaters and very much hope they keep making them!
