Really Comfy & Warm
These are the most comfy, soft and warm long johns that I have worn. They are best for wintry weather but can be worn as PJ's, or just casual bottoms for around the house. I am have a 37" waist and a 29" length weigh 165 lbs. and am 5'7" tall, bought the mediums which were a perfect fit even after a couple of washes and dry cycles. Highly recommend these.

Very warm, not too tight, fit under my shell pants
I purchased these pants to wear under my shell ski pants on cold days. I needed something heaver than my merino base layer pants. They are very warm. I have a stocky build with downhill skier legs. I tried other pants that were "modern athletic fit" (whatever that means) and they fit like leggings. These pants are not too tight and not too loose to wear under my ski pants. I do wish they had a fly for pit stops in the woods, but it's not a deal breaker.

Warm and well made
Replaced base layers with these and they’re great. They fit a little tight and they’re plenty thick but great when the recent cold snap hit the city.

I Loved the Original Cut which I gave FIVE STARS
I have given 3 stars here to hopefully have LL Bean pay attention. I am 71 and very fit but I have light bones structure and I am lean. These base layer pants are perfect for my shell ski pants and under light semi breathable pants for general winter activity. I own 2 pairs, three years old now. I bought 2 more this season and while they fit fine in the waist and ankle, the cut is a lot narrower than the originals, so they are tighter over the calf, knee and quads and for many who have bigger bones and or more muscle they will too tight. The style does adds to the slimness - no pockets, no bulky waist sewing so if you want a close fit fine, but they are not quite as functional for me. For maximum warmth a certain amount of looseness is required. Please go back to original cut, or offer in a slightly more relaxed fit.

Love these pants
I bought these pants to wear as long underwear while camping. We camp a lot in the desert in winter and it can get pretty cold in the evenings. The fit is snug and slim and they fit well under my pants.
They provide a level of warmth that is better than the two pair of long underwear that I used to wear.
