I have been an LL Bean customer for years and jumped on the chance to buy this bag. The bag is great however the shoulder straps are not designed properly. The cushioned portion of the strap does not sit on your shoulder correctly. I am 6 foot 4 and my girlfriend is 5 foot 8 and the weight of the bag sits above the cushioned portion of the shoulder straps. If you are looking for a duffel bag that you can carry as a back pack look elsewhere, but if you are looking for a duffel bag to sling carry this is a good option

I bought the bag to commute to the gym and back. I'm in Chicago and was looking for something weatherproof. I live about a 35-minute walk from my gym and stay there after my workouts to shower and work for the day. Everything I need including my meals fits perfectly. There are plenty of pockets and the shoe compartment can be used for wet clothing. I'm a 5'5" female and it fits me fairly well. I will be using this bag for years to come. THE STRAPS can be adjusted by threading the carabiner through either of the top two middle loops, pulling it down, and clipping it on one of the little fabric loops on either shoulder strap. I've included a pic of the difference between the two. Mess around with it and you'll figure out your desired setting. Definitely should come with some sort of flier to instruct people on how the system works. I would have been unhappy with my purchase if I hadn't discovered this.
