Simple. This is my third LL Bean mechanical battery. Watch. All pretty much the same. Last for years. Considered other brands but stuck with old reliable. Great performance for last thirty years or so.

Men’s Katahdin 42 Field Watch
Wonderful watch! Underwhelmed by the band, looks plastic but does what it is supposed to do. Does not represent well a quality L.L. Bean product.

Buy this watch for show not for durability
The crystal on this watch cracks. This has occurred on 3 different watches. The warranty on the watch is now 1 years (It was life time). My current watch was out of the 1 year warranty when it cracked. Having said that, everything else on this watch is as advertised. I recommend buying this watch for show.
